What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Barnston Road, High Easter) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Barnston Road, High Easter in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 540m north east of its junction with The Street for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2361705 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage defects works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Barnston Road, The Street, Rehobeth Street, Stagden Cross Road, Bury Road, Pleshey Road, Penden Hill, Main Road, Warners Farm Roundabout, Dunmow Road, Chelmsford Road, High Easter Road, High Easter Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Road, Ramsden Heath) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Ramsden Heath in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 150m south east of its junction with Short Lane for a distance of approximately 750m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2364711 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gully repair and carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, London Road, London Road Roundabout, Golden Jubilee Way, Runwell Road Roundabout, Runwell Road, Church End Lane, Brock Hill, Sudbury Road, School Road, Downham Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Cooksmill Green, Roxwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cooksmill Green, Roxwell in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 30m south east of its junction with Chapel Lane for a distance of approximately 290m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th August 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M102618 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap chamber works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Cooksmill Green, Radley Green Road, Ongar Road and vice versa (with access only into Cooksmill Green).

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Goose Lane, Great Hallingbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Goose Lane, Great Hallingbury in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 555m south east, north east then south east of its junction with Howe Green Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410236200GL – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ferrule renewal works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Goose Lane, Wrights Green Lane, Lower Road, New Barn Lane, Howe Green Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rainsford Lane, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rainsford Lane, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 30m north east of its junction with Meteor Way for a distance of approximately 65m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th August 2024 for 5 nights (21:00 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH10004008 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge joint replacement and waterproofing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Rainsford Lane, Waterhouse Lane, Westway, London Road, Wood Street Roundabout, Princes Road, Princes Road Roundabout, Van Diemans Road, Army And Navy Roundabout, Parkway, Parkway Roundabout Baddow Road, Parkway Roundabout Victoria Road South and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Riffhams Chase, Little Baddow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Riffhams Chase, Little Baddow in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with The Ridge for a distance of approximately 160m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF6RN72D01 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole renewal works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via The Ridge, Little Baddow Road, Main Road, Riffhams Lane, Riffhams Chase and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Sandford Mill Road, Chelmer Village) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sandford Mill Road, Chelmer Village in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 115m north west of its junction with Brook End Road South for a distance of approximately 100m in a northerly westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30099327721 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new electrical supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Storms Way and vice versa (access only into Sandford Mill Road, Brook End Road South).

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Willow Grove, South Woodham Ferrers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Willow Grove, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 250m north west of its junction with Fen Roundabout for a distance of approximately 130m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M69152A – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fire hydrant renewal works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Burnham Road, Main Road, Priory Road, Bicknacre Road, The Tye, Rettendon Road and vice versa (with access only into Willow Grove, Creephedge Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Woodhill Road, Sandon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Woodhill Road, Sandon in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 295m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 89 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30035872186 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Penny Royal Road, Mayes Lane, Main Road, Maldon Road, Molrams Lane and vice versa (with access only into Woodhill Road).

(Bicknacre Road, East Hanningfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bicknacre Road, East Hanningfield in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 560m north east of its junction with Highfields Mead for a distance of approximately 80m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA75588233 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new service provision works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Bicknacre Road, The Common, East Hanningfield Road, Southend Road, Gingerbreadhall Bridge Roundabout, North Roundabout, Southend Road, Essex Yeomanry Way, Church Street, Molrams Lane, Maldon Road, Main Road, Chelmsford Road, Oak Corner, Southend Road, Maldon Road – B1418, Hyde Lane, White Elm Road, Priory Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Boreham Road, Great Leighs) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boreham Road, Great Leighs in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 50m north west of its junction with Fuller Street for a distance of approximately 1100m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 40 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN01333115 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains renewal works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

The Order will come into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Braintree Road, Little Waltham) (Temporary Introduction of a 40mph Speed Restriction) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction in that length of Braintree Road, Little Waltham in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Sheepcotes Roundabout to its junction with Scurvy Hall Lane a distance of approximately 830m. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 1 night (21:00 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP022310107611 – SCR Group). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while lining works are undertaken by SCR Group.

(Fox Crescent, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fox Crescent, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 70m south west of its junction with Langton Avenue for a distance of approximately 135m in a south westerly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 40 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-2104A-C – EJ Taylor). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Section 278 (Bellmouth construction) and Section 50 (New water connection) works are undertaken by EJ Taylor.

(Paradise Road, Writtle) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Paradise Road, Writtle in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Lodge Road to its end a distance of approximately 545m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th July 2024 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (N7103DIS153746 – Nexfibre). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Nexfibre.
