What is happening?
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS THE RIDDINGS, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on The Riddings.
The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 15th July 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out connection renewal works safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 00.01 hours on Monday 29th July 2024. The road will be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for the various durations.
Diversion routes would be sign posted where appropriate and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when works is directly in front of a property.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to the closed section of The Riddings.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS LEEMING CLOSE, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Leeming close for its full length.
The Order will come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 22nd July 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to install a new boundary box and meter.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Wednesday 24th July 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic wil be as signed on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to Leeming Close.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS SUNWAY GROVE, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Sunway Grove.
The Order would come into effect from 0700 hours on Tuesday 16 July 2024 for Carriageway re-surfacing, repairs and associated works.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Tuesday 16 July 2024..
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Wall Hill Road.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS COUNDON ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Coundon Road – junction Barker Butts Lane.
The Order would come into effect from 23:00 on Saturday 13th July 2024 Removal of level crossing.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 14 July 2024.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Coundon Road.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS THE FIRS, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on The Firs commencing from its junction with Kenilworth Road to its junction with Earlsdon Avenue South.
The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 31st July 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to renew water connections safely on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Thursday 8th August 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Holmes Drive for its full length.
The Order would come into effect on Monday 29th July 2024 and is required to allow Severn Trent to carry out water connection renewals safely on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 9th August 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Grange Road between its junctions with Ansell Drive and Anderton Road
The Order would come into effect from 09:30 hours on Monday 22nd July 2024 and is required to facilitate communication pipe works on the highway to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 18:00 hours on 6th August 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Burnaby Road at its junction with Yelverton Road
The Order would come into effect from 09:30 hours on Monday 22nd July 2024 and is required to facilitate communication pipe works on the highway to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 18:00 hours on Tuesday 30th July 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FOR GREYFRIARS LANE AND HIGH STREET, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on the lengths of road set out in the Schedule below.
The Order would come into effect from 0700 hours on 22 July 2024 is required to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works, or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 13 September 2024.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Cook Street.
The Order would come into effect from Friday 26th July 2024 is required to enable building demolition to be carried out safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Sunday 28th July 2024.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

The Order would come into effect from Monday 22 July 2024 is required to enable new supply works to take place safely.

The Order would come into effect from Monday 22 July 2024 is required to enable telecoms rigging work to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Wednesday 31 July 2024.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS REGGAE FEVER 2024
Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intends to make a temporary Order to enable the Reggae Fever Parade 2024 to take place safely (“the Event”).
The Order would take effect from 08.00 hours on Saturday 20th July 2024 up to 14:00 hours on Saturday 20th July 2024.
The effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding on the lengths of road set out in the Schedule below. The restriction would apply at such times and to such extent when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed.
The parade would progress through Coventry City Centre under a rolling road closure which will be removed as the parade progresses.
Exemptions to the Order would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or an authorised event marshal;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles when necessary, at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the Event.
