Cunliffe Road (D2104) Ewell and Vale Road (D2420) Worcester Park Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles proceeding clock-wise in that length of Vale Road (D2420) Worcester Park, which comprises the entire length of carriageway within the roundabout situated at or adjacent to the junctions of Cunliffe Road (D2104), Cuddington Avenue (D2012) and Vale Road (D2420), from entering onto Cunliffe Road (D2104) Ewell. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out footway reconstruction and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed within 9 days, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition of entry will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The prohibition above shall not apply to vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency; or to vehicles under the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, or of a sign placed pursuant to Sections 66 or 67 of the Act. Alternative Route 1 - Vale Road, Westways, Stoneleigh Crescent, Stoneleigh Park Road and Cunliffe Road. Alternative Route 2 -Vale Road, Inveresk Gardens, Ardrossan Gardens, Stoneleigh Park Road and Cunliffe Road.
Notice - Extension to "The Surrey County Council Public Footpath from Castle Road to Willows Path, Epsom T6093 (Rights of Way route 67) Temporary Closure Order 2024" "The Surrey County Council Public Footpath from Castle Road to Willows Path, Epsom T6093 (Rights of Way route 67) Temporary Closure Order 2024" which was made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the grounds that works were being or were proposed to be executed on, or near, the above mentioned pathway and came in to operation on 19 February 2024, was due to expire on 18 July 2024 and which prohibits any person from entering or proceeding in that length of the public footpath from Castle Road to Willows Path, Epsom T6093 (Rights of Way route 67) that is carried by the "Castle Road Footbridge" has been extended by Surrey County Council until 18 January 2025. This Temporary Traffic Order is required on grounds of safety to enable Centurion to carry out remedial works to the "Castle Road Footbridge" and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the additional 6 month period of operation of the Temporary Order, which commenced on 19 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained via the footway to Castle Road, Dorking Road, Wells Road and, the public footpath from Wells Road to Wheelers Lane T6035 (Rights of Way route 71).
Ewell By-Pass (A24), Cheam Road (A232/B2200) and Ewell By-Pass Lay-By Northbound (D2154) Ewell Temporary Traffic Management Order 2024 Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:-
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cheam Road (B2200) Ewell which extends from its junction with Portway to its junction with A24 Ewell By-Pass;
(b) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Ewell By-Pass Lay-By Northbound (D2154) Ewell; and (c) prohibit vehicles proceeding southwards on Ewell By-Pass (A24) Ewell from turning left into Cheam Road (A232) Ewell. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to footway slurry works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be carried out between 10am and 4pm, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner. For sub-paragraph (a) above: Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Alternative Route 1 (Traffic from south on A24 for B2200) - C254 Reigate Road, C254 High Street, and B2200 London Road; Alternative Route 2 (Traffic from north A24 and east A323 for B2200) - A24 London Road southbound, C254 Reigate Road, C254 High Street and B2200 London Road; and Alternative Route 3 (Traffic on B2200) - B2200 Cheam Road, C254 High Street, C254 Reigate Road and A24 Ewell By-Pass. For sub-paragraph (b) above: No sole means of access to any premises will be affected. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. There is no diversion route for this closure. For sub-paragraph (c) above: The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency; or in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of Surrey Police. Alternative Route - proceed south-westwards on A24 Ewell By-Pass, turn around at the roundabout with A240 Reigate Road, continue north-eastwards on A24 Ewell By-Pass, where it is possible to turn right onto A232 Cheam Road.
Woodcote End (D2456) Epsom Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodcote End (D2456) Epsom which extends from its junction with Chalk Lane (D2066) to the northeastern property boundary line of "Stane House". Alternative Route - No diversion route available as it's a dead end road. This Order is required to allow AIS Utilities to carry out gas works, which is anticipated to be completed within 12 days, between 9:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
