HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN STEVENAGE) ORDER NO.5 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Wigram Way, Stevenage from its northernmost junction with The Paddocks south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Hydean Way, a distance of approximately 738m.

An alternative route will be via The Paddocks, Shephall Way and Hydean Way.

2. that length of The Paddocks, Stevenage from its southernmost junction with Wigram Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

An alternative route will be via Wigram Way and The Paddocks.

3. that length of Elm Walk, Stevenage from its junction with Wigram Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

An alternative route will be via Wigram Way, The Paddocks and Elm Walk.

4. that length of Randals Hill, Stevenage from its junction with Wigram Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

An alternative route will be via Wigram Way, Hydean Way, Shephall Lane and Randals Hill.

5. that length of Hyde Green, Stevenage from its junction with Wigram Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

6. that length of Mackenzie Square, Stevenage from its junction with Wigram Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

7. that road situated to the rear of Nos.127-135 Wigram Way, Stevenage from its junction with Wigram Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON B656 ROYSTON ROAD, BALDOCK) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of B656 Royston Road, Baldock from a point in line with the western boundary of No.14 Royston Road north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road, a distance of approximately 1462m ("the Road"). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BLACKHORSE LANE, HITCHIN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Blackhorse Lane, Hitchin from its junction with B656 London Road north eastwards to its junction with Grange Close, a distance of approximately 168m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via B656 London Road, A602 Stevenage Road and Blackhorse Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 31 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN DENTON ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Denton Road, Stevenage from its junction with Whomerley Road north eastwards to its junction with Rockingham Way, a distance of approximately 156m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Whomerley Road, Whittington Lane and Rockingham Way. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON GRESLEY WAY AND THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF GRESLEY WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following length of road ("the Road") and cycle track ("the Cycle Track") will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following length of road and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road whilst works are in progress:-

a) that length of Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with Magpie Crescent/ Edmonds Drive roundabout south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 1708m.

An alternative route will be via Gresley Way, A602 (Broadhall Way/Monkswood Way), Six Hills Way and Gresley Way.

2. To prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the west side of Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with Magpie Crescent south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 424m.

An alternative route will be via Magpie Crescent, the footpath situated on the north west side of Nos.9-25 Blackberry Mead, Dene Lane and the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.9-20 Lapwing Rise.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road and Cycle Track.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 August 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Cycle Track. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LANGLEY LANE, LANGLEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Langley Lane, Langley from its junction with B656 London Road south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 73m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B656 London Road, B651 Whitwell Road and Langley Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS

ROADS IN BREACHWOOD GREEN, STEVENAGE, OFFLEY, KNEBWORTH AND BALDOCK) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of The Heath/Heath Road/Chapel Road, Breachwood Green from its junction with Brownings Lane south eastwards and southwards to its junction with Oxford Road, a distance of approximately 688m.

An alternative route will be via Darley Road, Church Road, Lilley Bottom Road, Lower Road and Oxford Road.

2. that length of Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with the Broadwater Lane roundabout north westwards to its junction with the A602 Broadhall Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 241m.

An alternative route will be via Gresley Way, Six Hills Way and A602 (Monkswood Way/ Broadhall Way).

3. that length of Elbow Lane, Stevenage from its junction with Oaks Cross south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Pepsal End, a distance of approximately 207m.

An alternative route will be via Oaks Cross, Melne Road and Elbow Lane.

4. that length of Harris Lane, Offley from its junction with Kings Walden Road north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Offley UCR (unmetalled unclassed country road) No.1, a distance of approximately 122m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. that length of Old Knebworth Lane, Stevenage/Knebworth from its junction with B197 London Road south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and southwards to its junctions with Park Lane, a distance of approximately 2425m.

An alternative route will be via B197 (London Road/Stevenage Road), Station Road, Station Approach and Park Lane.

6. that length of Oakfields, Stevenage from its junction with Oaks Cross south eastwards to its junction with Green Acres, a distance of approximately 82m.

An alternative route will be via Oaks Cross, Longfields, Oakfields Close and Oakfields.

7. that length of B656 Royston Road, Baldock from its northermost junction with A507 Clothall Road north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road, a distance of approximately 1743m. An alternative route will be via B656 Whitehorse Street, B197 (High Street/London Road) and A505 Baldock Bypass.

8. that length of Icknield Way, Baldock from its junction with Norton Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 60m.

An alternative route will be via Norton Road, B656 (Hitchin Street/Whitehorse Street), A507 Station Road and Icknield Way.

9. that length of Norton Road, Baldock from its junction with Icknield Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 60m.

An alternative route will be via Norton Road, B656 (Letchworth Road/Baldock Road), Pixmore Way, Norton Way South, Norton Way North and Norton Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN B655 PIRTON ROAD, HITCHIN/B655 HEXTON ROAD, OFFLEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B655 Pirton Road, Hitchin/B655 Hexton Road, Offley from its junction with A505 Upper Tilehouse Street north westwards, south westwards, north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 4852m ("the length of Roads"). An alternative route will be via A505 (Upper Tilehouse Street/Old Park Road/Bedford Road), A600 (Bedford Road/Hitchin Road), A507 (unnamed road/Ampthill Road/unnamed road), A6 Bedford Road and B655 Bedford Road/Hexton Road/Barton Road/Hitchin Road) or via B655 (Hitchin Road/Barton Road/Hexton Road/Bedford Road), A6 Bedford Road, A507 (unnamed road/Ampthill Road/unnamed road), A600 (Hitchin Road/Bedford Road) and A505 (Bedford Road/Paynes Park/Upper Tilehouse Street). ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1037 STEVENAGE ROAD, WALKERN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1037 Stevenage Road, Walkern from its junction with the Gresley Way roundabout north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 2122m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via B1037 Fairlands Way, A1155 (Fairlands Way/St Georges Way), A602 (Monkswood Way/Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross), High Street, Walkern Road, Benington Road and High Street.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. the road leading to Nos.15-29 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Canterbury Way northwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 120 m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. the road situated to the rear of Nos.358-394 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Canterbury Way southwards and westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. the road situated to the rear of Nos.457-498 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Canterbury Way south westwards and eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. the road situated to the rear of Nos.500-554 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Canterbury Way south westwards, south eastwards, westwards and eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. the road situated on the south side of No.531 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Pilgrims Way north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Canterbury Way, a distance of approximately 51m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BENINGTON ROAD, WALKERN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Benington Road, Walkern from its junction with Benington Public Bridleway No.044 north westwards for a distance of approximately 107m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Benington Road, Walkern Road, High Street, A602 (Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), Gresley Way, B1037 Stevenage Road, High Street and Benington Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH/CYCLE TRACK SITUATED BENEATH GRESLEY WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians/pedal cycles from using the footpath/cycle track situated beneath Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with Tatlers Lane north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 55m ("the Footpath/Cycle Track").

An alternative route will be via Aston Restricted Public Byway No.037, Stevenage Public Bridleway No.097, the footpath situated on the north west side of No.8 and No.9 Magellan Close, Magellan Close, Christie Road, the footpath situated on the east side of No.8 Christie Road and No.2 Chells Way, the cycle track situated beneath Gresley Way, Barham Road and the footpath/cycle track situated on the north side of No.53 Barham Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath/Cycle Track.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath/Cycle Track.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF NOS.597-601 LONSDALE ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.597-601 Lonsdale Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the western boundary of No.593 Lonsdale Road westwards, a distance of approximately 35m ("the Footpath"). An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting Nos.581-593 Lonsdale Road, the footpath on the west side of Lonsdale Road, the footpath/cycle track fronting Nos. 633-645 Lonsdale Road and the footpath fronting Nos.572-582 Grace Way. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.
