ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (Public Footpath Crowborough 15a) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022 To protect public safety during a housing development, the Secretary of State has extended the above East Sussex County Council’s Order made on 1 July 2022 under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:
Temporary Footpath Closure
The whole of Public Footpath Crowborough 15a will be closed to all users between TQ 5281 2919 and TQ 5270 2869.
Unfortunately, there is no alternative route.
The closure will be in force for 12 months from 14 July 2024, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unavailable to use.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Dallas Lane – from the junction with U5007 Boast Lane to the junction with U5007 Anchor Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 29 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 29 and 31 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5142 Chapel Hill, Lewes)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure Chapel Hill – for its full extent.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 29 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 04:00hrs between 29 and 31 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Tidebrook Road – from the junction with C568 Lake Street to the junction with U7546 Riseden Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C568 Lake Street – A267 Mayfield Road – B2100 Wadhurst Road, Best Beech Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 29 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 29 and 31 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7849 School Lane, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
School Lane – from the junction with U7849 Hoadleys Lane to the junction with U7474 St. Johns Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C11 London Road – U7475 Ghyll Road – U7474 St. Johns Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 29 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 29 July and 2 August 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2102/B2192 Lewes Road, Cross in
Hand/Heathfield/Blackboys)(Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:-
Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit Lewes Road – from the junction with U7921 Dads Hill to the junction with U7509 Stonebridge Lane. The Order commences 16 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2 To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

The Village – for its full extent.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 15 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 15 and 18 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C407 Spout Hill, Rotherfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Spout Hill – from the junction with B2100 Catts Hill to the junction with C407 Town Row Green. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C407 Town Row Green, Cowford Bridge Lane – C12 Blackdon Hill, Sham Farm Road – A26 Eridge Road – C70 Bunny Lane – A267 Frant Road, Mayfield Road, Tunbridge Wells Road – B2100 Catts Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 12 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 12 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C39 Station Road, Berwick) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023 To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Station Road – from the junction with P9103 Cornford Crescent to the junction with P8574 Washere Close.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C39 Station Road – C347 Lower Wick Street – C207 Langtye Lane, The Street – A27(T) – C340 Common Lane – C39 Station Road and vice versa.
The Order commenced 16 December 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 22:00hrs on 13 July to 06:00hrs on 17 July 2024 continuous closure, depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5567 Sadlers Way, Ringmer) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Sadlers Way – from the junction with U5567 Greenacres Drive to the junction with U5576 Mill View. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5567 Sadlers Way – U5017 Gote Lane – U5572 Springett Avenue – U5567 Sadlers Way and vice versa.
The Order commences 15 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it was originally anticipated works will be undertaken between 15 and 19 July 2024, but it is now anticipated works will be undertaken between 22 and 26 July 2024 depending on the weather conditions.

The Order commences 17 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 17 and 19 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The Order commences 12 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 12 and 13 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

Croft Lane – from the junction with U5226 Broad Street to the junction with C36 East Street.
Sutton Croft Lane – from the junction with U5471 Sutton Road to the junction with U5472 Croft Lane. High Street – from the junction with C36 East Street to the junction with C36 Crouch Lane.
Crouch Lane – from the junction with C36 East Street to the junction with C36 Crouch Lane.
