What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN NASH ROAD, ROYSTON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Nash Road, Royston from its junction with Beldam Avenue south westwards for its entire length, (the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. f the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 Juy 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE MOUNT, BARLEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Mount, Barley from its northernmost junction with B1368 London Road south westwards and south eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via B1368 London Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.16 AND NO.18 WHEATFIELD CRESCENT, ROYSTON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.16 and No.18 Wheatfield Crescent, Royston from its junction with Wheatfield Crescent north westwards to its junction with Honeyway, a distance of approximately 25m ("the Footpath"). An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Wheatfield Crescent, the footway situated on the west side of Poplar Drive, the footway situated on the south side of Woodlands and the footway situated on the east side of Honeyway. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 July 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (ERMINE STREET AND NEALE DRIVE, BUNTINGFORD)

(30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024 ROAD HUMPS NOTICE (ERMINE STREET, BUNTINGFORD) 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a 30 mph speed limit restriction on parts of Ermine Street and Neale Drive, Buntingford as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. It is also proposed under sections 90A - 90F of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, to install speed cushions in those lengths of Ermine Street, Buntingford as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 11 July 2024 during

SCHEDULE 1: 30 mph speed limit - that section of road listed below and as set out in the Order

and scheme plan - Parts of Ermine Street and Neale Drive.

SCHEDULE 2: Speed cushions (to be laid in pairs) - to be installed on those sections of road listed below and as set out in the scheme plan - parts of Ermine Street.

(a) centred on a point 80 metres south east of a point in line with the projected south east kerbline of Neale Drive.

(b) centred on a point 140 metres south east of a point in line with the projected south east kerbline of Neale Drive.

(c) centred on a point 200 metres south east of a point in line with the projected south east kerbline of Neale Drive.

(d) centred on a point 260 metres south east of a point in line with the projected south east kerbline of Neale Drive.

(e) centred on a point 320 metres south east of a point in line with the projected south east kerbline of Neale Drive.

(f) centred on a point 326 metres north west of a point in line with the projected north west kerbline of Freman Drive.

(g) centred on a point 266 metres north west of a point in line with the projected north west kerbline of Freman Drive.

(h) centred on a point 207 metres north west of a point in line with the projected north west kerbline of Freman Drive.

(i) centred on a point 87 metres north west of a point in line with the projected north west kerbline of Freman Drive.

The speed cushions will be constructed at a height of approximately 75mm above the existing carriageway with on/off gradients of approximately 1:8 and side gradients of 1:4. The making of Traffic Regulation Orders is a statutory function of the County Council.
