What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH ST STEPHEN 14 & LONDON COLNEY 6

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has extended, with consent of the Secretary of State, the Order which was made under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. To prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath St Stephen 14 & London Colney 6, heading south and east to junction with London Colney 4, for an approximate distance of 250 & 55 metres. Alternative route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network The purpose of the Order is to enable development works to take place.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH MARKYATE 16 & 18

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Markyate 16 & 18, heading south and west from junction with Park Close, for an approximate distance of 600 & 450m. Alternative Route: via Markyate 17, 18 ,19 and Roe End Lane. The purpose of the Order is to enable pylon works to take place. The section of Footpath Markyate 16 & 18 will be closed on or after 21 July 2024 for up to 5 weeks, when signs are in place. TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH ST STEPHEN 51

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath St Stephen 51, south of junction with St Stephen 40, for an approximate distance of 140m. Alternative Route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network. The purpose of the Order is to enable pylon works to take place. The section of Footpath St Stephen 51 will be closed on or after 30 July 2024 for up to 5 weeks, when signs are in place. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CROSSPATH, RADLETT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Crosspath, Radlett from a point in line with the western boundary of No.59 The Crosspath south eastwards for a distance of approximately 18m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via The Crosspath, Upper Station Road, Station Road, A5183 Watling Street, Aldenham Avenue and The Crosspath or via The Crosspath, Aldenham Avenue, A5183 Watling Street, B462 Aldenham Road, Upper Station Road and The Crosspath.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROWLATT DRIVE, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rowlatt Drive, St Albans from a point 50m south east of its northernmost junction with Westfield Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Rowlatt Drive, Westfield Road and Rowlatt Drive.

The Order is needed because gas service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN NEWBERRIES AVENUE, RADLETT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of road ("the lengths of Road"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Road whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Newberries Avenue, Radlett from its junction with Craigwell Avenue south eastwards for a distance of approximately 210m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Newberries Avenue, Radlett from a point in line with the north eastern boundary of No.83 Newberries Avenue south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m.

An alternative route will be via Newberries Avenue, Williams Way, Craigweil Avenue and Newberries Avenue. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the lengths of Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN ASHRIDGE DRIVE, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ashridge Drive, Bricket Wood from its junction with West Riding north westwards to its junction with Hornbeams, a distance of approximately 357m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via West Riding, Oakwood Road, Jordans Way and Ashridge Drive.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WEST RIDING, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of West Riding, Bricket Wood from a point 30m south west of its junction with The Meads south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via West Riding, Lye Lane, Station Road, Mount Pleasant Lane and West Riding.

The Order is needed because electrical service connection works

are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NORTH COMMON, REDBOURN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of North Common, Redbourn from its westernmost junction with West Common eastwards for a distance of approximately 32m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via West Common and North Common. The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A405 NORTH ORBITAL ROAD AND LYE LANE CHISWELL GREEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads").

1. that length of A405 North Orbital Road, Chiswell Green from its junction with the M25 (junction 21A) roundabout north eastwards to its junction with the B4630 Watford Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 700m.

An alternative route will be via the M25, A1081 London Colney Bypass, A414 North Orbital Road and A405 North Orbital Road or via A405 (North Orbital Road/St Albans Road/North Orbital Road), A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way/ Otterspool Way/Elton Way/Tylers Way/North Western Avenue/ Watford Bypass), A5183 (Elstree Hill South/High Street/Elstree Hill North/Watling Street/Cobden Hill/Watling Street/Radlett Road/ Frogmore/Park Street/Watling Street) and A405 North Orbital Road.

2. that length of Lye Lane, Chiswell Green from its junction with A405 North Orbital Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 273m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GROVE ROAD AND TENNYSON ROAD, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

A copy of the proposed Orders may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between

the hours of 9am and 5pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).

1. that length of Grove Road, Harpenden from its junction with Southdown Road south eastwards to its junction with Pipers Lane, a distance of approximately 847m.

An alternative route will be via Piggottshill Lane, Wheathampstead Road and Pipers Lane.

2. that length of Tennyson Road, Harpenden from its junction with Hollybush Lane south eastwards to its junction with Sun Lane, a distance of approximately 331m.

An alternative route will be via Hollybush Lane and Sun Lane. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WEST VIEW ROAD, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of West View Road, St Albans from its junction with A4147 Folly Lane north eastwards to its junction with Ashwell Street, a distance of approximately 110m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via A4147 Folly Lane, Cannon Street and Ashwell Street.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN ST PETERS CLOSE, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of St Peters Close, St Albans from a point 23m north west of its junction with A1081 St Peters Street north westwards for its entire length ("the Road"), whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because the refurbishment of an existing property known as No.7 St Peters Close is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (UPPER MARLBOROUGH ROAD AND MARLBOROUGH ROAD, ST ALBANS) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce new restrictions on parts of St Albans as specified in the Schedules to this Notice. The Orders will come into effect on Saturday 7 September 2024. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders may be viewed from 11 July 2024 to 22 August 2024 during office hours at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford or online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting St Albans and looking at Ref: SA00423. SCHEDULE 1: No waiting at any time - those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plans - outside Nos. 26 to 30 Upper Marlborough Road and outside Nos. 12 to 20 Marlborough Road.

SCHEDULE 2: Mandatory Contra-Flow Cycle Lane - that section of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan - Marlborough Road, between London Road and Victoria Street.
