Programme Order Two) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to make temporary road closures, temporary 20 MPH Speed limits and temporarily prohibit parking on the following roads in Mid Sussex District throughout their entire lengths unless otherwise stated:
EAST GRINSTEAD: Imberhorne Lane, HAYWARDS HEATH:
Hanlye Lane, HORSTED KEYNES: Danehill Lane,
HURSTPIERPOINT & SAYERS COMMON: Twineham Lane, WORTH: Copthorne Road (A2220) from the A264 to Worth Park Avenue, Snow Hill (A264) from the B2028 to the county boundary, Hophurst Hill/Fellbridge Road from Cuttinglye Road to the county boundary.
These restrictions are needed to allow highway surfacing works to be carried out in safely. Each of the affected roads are expected to be closed for up to three days and affected roads may be closed in sections. Dates for works will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time they are carried out.
The Order will come into effect on 1 August 2024 and remain in force for 18 months.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

Calming Features 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time (introduce double yellow lines) on both sides of De La Warr Road in East Grinstead from a point
25m east of its junction with Church Lane, westwards for appx 95m.
In addition to these new restrictions the Order also enacts a scheme of revised waiting restrictions in the Lowdells Lane area of East Grinstead advertised in March 2021. These restrictions were approved following public consultation but could not be installed before the proposed order timed out. The proposed restrictions have all been installed and this part of the Order has no effect other than to make restrictions already present on site
legally enforceable.
Notice is also hereby given that WSCC, under the provisions of the Highways Act 1980 (Traffic calming) Regulations intends to install two raised traffic calming features on De La Warr Road in East Grinstead.
These features will be full width speed tables, with one located immediately east of its junction with Church Lane, and the other located on the bend in the road, west of its junction with Church Lane. Both features will be appx 65mm high and constructed in black McAdam.

People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
