Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Traffic Restrictions.

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C329 (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Milbrook Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a north easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out tree and associated works. Alternative route via C329 (unaffected length) - Bourne Avenue - Kelsey Road - Rampart Road - C329 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 05 August 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. B) Amesbury Road (Part), Amesbury and Bulford; from its junction with A303 to its junction with A3028 to enable National Highways to carry out carriageway repairs on National Highways network. Alternative route via A3028 - Salisbury Road - Porton Road - A303 - A345 - Portway - A338 - A303 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 August 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 15 August 2024. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

C) Gunville Road (Part), Winterslow; from its junction with The Common to its property known as Glencoe House to enable Openreach to carry out access to communication equipment and associated works. Alternative route via Gunville Road (unaffected length) - Mill Lane - A30 - Clough Lane - The Flood - The Plantation - Livery Road - Weston Lane - The Common and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. Orders A) to C) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction on the following length of road:

UC 5162 (Part), Burcombe Without; from its junction with A30 for a distance of approximately 219m in a south westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out bridge maintenance and associated works. The speed restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This speed limit restriction will come into operation on 05 August 2024 and will be required until 23 August 2024. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
