NOTICE OF MAKING OF ORDER
SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH AQ75, FOX HILL, COMBE DOWN, BATH) (NO. 2)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will temporarily extend a path closure to Public Footpath AQ75, Combe Down, Bath from its junction with Fox Hill at grid reference ST75146306 in a generally ESE direction for approx 206m to ST75326297.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the right of way; namely, Wessex Water are constructing new storm storage tank works.

The Order comes into force on 19th July 2024 and will be effective until 7th October 2024, extending the closure which commenced on 8th April 2024.

The closure will only be effective during the period when signs stating ‘Footpath Closed’ are in place on site and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works, which are expected to take place between 3rd June 2024 - 23rd September 2024.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Public Footpath AQ75 (unaffected part), Public Footpath AQ74, Lyncombe Vale Road, Public Footpath BC53/5 Fox Hill. Vice Versa.
