What is happening?

SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL
Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic 
Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) and 
Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary 
Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 
Slough Borough Council (Station Road) 
Order 2024 (Order 40 of 2024) (‘Order’) 
1. SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL gives notice that it has made an Order under section 14(1)(a) of the RTRA 1984 and any other enabling powers.
2. The Order is needed because works are or are proposed to be carried out on or near the road.
3. The Order shall come into operation 00:01 hours on Monday 12th August 2024 for a period of 18 months, or until the works have been completed whichever is sooner. All works are expected to be completed by 23:59 hours on Friday 30th August 2024. The duration of the Order can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. 
4. While the Order is in operation it will prohibit 
any traffic passing through Station Road, 
Slough SL1, from its junction with Iona 
Crescent, Slough SL1 to its junction with Bath Road, Slough SL1. 
5. An alternative highway will be available for use while the Order is in force and local diversions will be clearly signed at the location. Advanced warning notices will be at the locations advising of the dates the works will be carried out. Access will be maintained for all local residents and businesses.
