Warwick Road, Banbury - Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) & (7) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Banbury, Warwick Road, Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting
Date of Order: 22/07/2024
Coming into force: 29/07/2024
This Order is being introduced because of resurfacing works which are anticipated to take until 12/9/2024 to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in that part of Warwick Road between the roundabout with Orchard Way/Parklands and the traffic light junction with Castle Street. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads – Cherwell) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2021 (as amended) which permits waiting between 6pm and 8am will be suspended for the duration of the works.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via Ruscote Avenue, Southam Road and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13831/RMF)
