THE TONBRIDGE AND MALLING BOROUGH COUNCIL (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2023

NOTICE OF VARIATION

NOTICE is hereby given that Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 35 and 35C Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 proposes to vary the amount of charge at parking places detailed in Group 5 of The Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2023


Change of Parking Group.


Bradford Street, Kinnings Row, Lamberts Yard, River Lawn car parks are to be
redefined in The Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council (Off-Street Parking
Places) Order 2023 from Group 1 to Group 5 from 19th August 2024.
Castle Grounds car park is to be redefined in The Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2023 from Group 7 to Group 5 from 19th August 2024.


Introduction of 30 minutes free parking


The charges for vehicles being left in the parking places defined in the revised Group 5 (covering Bradford Street, Kinnings Row, Lamberts Yard, River Lawn, Upper Castle Field and Castle Grounds car parks) shall be as follows from 19th August 2024.

•     Free parking for up to 30 minutes, with the requirement to display a free
ticket from the P&D machine(s) located in the respective car parks.
•     All other charges remain unchanged


This Notice applies only to the charges above and in all other respects the
provisions of The Order will remain in force.
