Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 11th July 2024:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, to make the following traffic regulation Orders under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BUCKINGHAM ROAD (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2018)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road in order to allow ECL Civil Engineering to carry out development works on a new roundabout.
23rd July 2024 – 8th September 2024 (24 Hours)
Buckingham Road, Bletchley – From its junction with Standing Way to its junction with Windmill Hill Drive.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Saxon Street and Standing Way (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GREAT MONKS STREET (PART), WOLVERTON MILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2012)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road in order to allow Virgin Media to carry out installation of new telecoms equipment.
22nd July 2024 – 2nd August 2024 (9:30am – 4:30pm each day)
Great Monks Street – From its junction with High Park Drive to its junction with Stratford Road (northbound carriageway only).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Miller Way, Watling Street, Queen Eleanor Street and Stratford Road.
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WINCHESTER CIRCLE, KINGSTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2009)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow National Grid to carry out new connection works and substation installation works.
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following length of road between 22nd July 2024 – 7th August 2024 (24 Hours): -
Winchester Circle, Kingston – Outside Number 43 for approximately 165 meters.
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Tongwell Street, Chippenham Drive (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CHILDS WAY, OLDBROOK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1999)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road in order to allow THREE to carry out installation of new telecoms pole and cab and testing with use of a crane. 22nd July 2024 – 25th July 2024 (Between 9:30am and 4:30pm each day)
Childs Way, Oldbrook – From its junction with Witan Gate to its junction with Grafton Gate.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via the Grafton Gate, Portway and Witan Gate (and vice versa).
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 11th July 2024:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 9th July 2024 made the following temporary traffic regulation Orders under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY CMK02, CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1992)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following lengths of redway:
Redway CMK02, Central Milton Keynes – From its junction with Linceslade Grove to its junction with Sports Central.
Whilst the redway is closed the alternative route will be via Linceslade Grove, Redway CMK03 Central Milton Keynes, and Footways adjacent to the train station and sports central.
The closures are necessary to enable Milton Keynes City Council (Ringway) to carryout Structure Upgrade Works.
The closures will come into effect on 15 July 2024 and will remain in effect until 26 July 2024 (24 Hours) or when the works are complete, whichever is sooner.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WHITWORTH AVENUE, LOUGHTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2016)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow National Grid to repair a street light fault safely. For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following length of road:
Whitworth Avenue, Loughton - from its junction with Ashpole Furlong to its junction with Snaith Crescent. The closures will come into effect on 15 July 2024 and will remain in effect until 19 July 2024 (24 Hours)
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Ashpole Furlong and Bradwell Road (and vice versa).
Access to properties will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
