What is happening?

TEMPORARY 40 MPH / 30 MPH
SPEED LIMIT
A61 CHESTERFIELD ROAD,
SHIRLAND / ALFRETON
WHEN: 15th July 2024 (09:30 to 15:30).
WHERE: It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph (30 mph past works), from a point 570 metres north of its Jct. with the B6025 to a point adjacent to the existing 30 mph entry signs at Alfreton.
REASON: To facilitate highway maintenance works.
The restriction will be in force for the time stated or until the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.

The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph (30 mph past works).
