What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Ashwells Road, Pilgrims Hatch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ashwells Road, Pilgrims Hatch in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Well Lane for a distance of approximately 145m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd August 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KA190EPRGHAH0098AB – Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while micro ducts are laid by Gigaclear.
An alternative route is available via Ashwells Road, Crow Green Road, Ongar Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 17th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (Streetworks No.3) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the Borough of Brentwood, as detailed in the Schedule.
The works are scheduled to commence after 17th July 2024, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on One.Network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/ leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
The Order will come into effect on 17th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Dark Lane, Great Warley From its junction with Warley Road for a distance of approximately 445m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. Great Warley Street, Warley Road, Warley Hill, Kings Road, Queens Road, High Street, London Road, Brook Street, Nags Head Lane, Old Warley Road and vice versa.

Beredens Lane, Great Warley From its junction with Warley Road for a distance of approximately 55m in a south westerly direction. Great Warley Street, Warley Road, Warley Hill, Kings Road, Queens Road, High Street, London Road, Brook Street, Nags Head Lane, Old Warley Road and vice versa.

(Dudbrook Road, Navestock) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dudbrook Road, Navestock in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 205m south west of its junction with Beacon Hill Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410235513 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe renewal works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Princes Road, Navestock Side and vice versa (with access only to Dudbrook Road).
The Order came into effect on 3rd July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mascalls Lane, Great Warley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mascalls Lane, Great Warley in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Warley Hill for a distance of approximately 170m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001340638 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while diversion of gas main works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Mascalls Lane, London Road, High Street, Kings Road, Queens Road, Warley Hill and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 3rd July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Middleton Hall Lane, Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Middleton Hall Lane, Brentwood in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Priests Lane for a distance of approximately 95m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 40 days, or where stated on a valid permit (XV016ABS-UKP11507-C – Global Utility Connections). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while excavation works are undertaken by Global Utility Connections.
An alternative route is available via Shenfield Road, Hutton Road, Friars Avenue, Priests Lane and vice versa (with access only into Middleton Hall Lane).
The Order came into effect on 3rd July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ongar Road, Stondon Massey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Hook End Lane, Hook End) (Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Ongar Road, Stondon Massey in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Nine Ashes Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction to all traffic on Hook End Lane, Hook End, in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Hook End Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction as cited in ‘The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Brentwood and Epping Forest Districts) (Weight Restriction) (Variation) Order 1987’.

The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7031001337037 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 
The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Hook End Lane, Hook End Road, Blackmore Road, Ongar Road, Brentwood Road and vice versa (with access only into Stondon Road, Ongar Road, Tipps Cross Lane).
The Order came into effect on 3rd July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Peartree Lane, Doddinghurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Peartree Lane, Doddinghurst in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 70m east of its junction with Harpers Lane for a distance approximately 30m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410235571 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ferrule renewal works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

The Order came into effect on 3rd July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Stock Lane, Ingatestone) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stock Lane, Ingatestone in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 420m south east of its junction with The Hoppet for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF8MTC0NJT1 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

Alternative routes are available via:
1. Stock Lane, Ingatestone Road, Stock Road, High Street, Stock Road, A12, Roman Road, High Street.
2. High Street, Roman Road, Mountnessing – Ingatestone Link Road, A12, Stock Road, High Street, Stock Road, Ingatestone Road, Stock Lane.
The Order came into effect on 3rd July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Brentwood as detailed in the Schedule.
The works are scheduled to commence after 3rd July 2024, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on One.Network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Frog Street, Kelvedon Hatch/Solid Lane, Doddinghurst From a point approximately 900m north east then south east of the junction with Ongar Road for a distance of approximately 580m in a south easterly direction. Warren Lane, Stocks Lane, Blackmore Road, Ongar Road, Frog Street and vice versa.

Coxtie Green Road, South Weald From its junction with Warwick Place for a distance of approximately 35m in a south easterly direction.
