Ansdell Road, Blackpool - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL

(ANSDELL ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 10th July 2024 the Blackpool Borough Council made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to facilitate essential carriage re-surfacing works. The effect of the Order will be to:

Phase 1

(a)                   Prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding in a northerly direction along the length of Ansdell Road between its junction with Bloomfield Road to its northerly junction with Waterloo Road.

(b)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its east junction with Arkholme Avenue.

(c)                    Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Finsbury Avenue.

(d)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Cunliffe Road.

(e)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Boardman Avenue.

(f)                    Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Beardshaw Avenue.

(g)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Greenwood Avenue.

(h)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Dover Road.

(i)                     Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Brun Grove.

(j)                     Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Harris Avenue.

(k)                    Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Dunsop Close.

(l)                     Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Nuttall Road.

(m)                  Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Threlfall Road.

(n)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its west junction with Arkholme Avenue.

(o)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Durley Road.

(p)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with the unnamed road running to the rear of 153 Ansdell Road to its junctions with Wood Park Road and Waterloo Road.

(q)                   Temporarily suspend the taxi stand on the east side of Ansdell Road from a point 6.5m north of the northern property of No. 47 Ansdell Road for 11.7m in a northerly direction.

(r)                    The prohibition is presently programmed to be applied on 22nd July 2024 for a period of 9 days.

Phase 2

(a)                   Prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding in a southerly direction along the length of Ansdell Road between its northerly junction with Waterloo Road to its junction with Bloomfield Road.

(b)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its east junction with Arkholme Avenue.

(c)                    Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Finsbury Avenue.

(d)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Cunliffe Road.

(e)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Boardman Avenue.

(f)                    Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Beardshaw Avenue.

(g)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Greenwood Avenue.

(h)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Dover Road.

(i)                     Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Brun Grove.

(j)                     Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with the unnamed road running to the rear of 153 Ansdell Road to its junctions with Wood Park Road and Waterloo Road.

(k)                    Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Harris Avenue.

(l)                     Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Dunsop Close.

(m)                  Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Nuttall Road.

(n)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Threlfall Road.

(o)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its west junction with Arkholme Avenue.

(p)                   Prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto Ansdell Road from its junction with Durley Road.

(q)                   Temporarily suspend the taxi stand on the east side of Ansdell Road from a point 6.5m north of the northern property of No. 47 Ansdell Road for 11.7m in a northerly direction.

(r)                    This prohibition is presently programmed to be applied on 30th July 2024 for a period of 12 days.

Note: At all times whilst the restriction is in place access to Waterloo Primary Academy shall be maintained.

Vehicular access to premises shall be maintained wherever possible.

Pedestrian access to premises shall be maintained at all times.

The proposed Order will commence on 22nd July 2024 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 21 days.
