Section 14(1) of the Road Trafc Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)

The County of Cornwall (B3276 Between Towan Road And Treyarnon Lane, Padstow) (Temporary Prohibition of Trafc) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by trafc of the undermentioned length of road in Padstow. This prohibition is necessary for works to repair defective cover and it is expected that the closure will be from 5th August 2024 to 6th August 2024. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0700, weekdays only.

Road afected - B3276 Between Towan Road And Treyarnon Lane, Padstow between Denecroft and Chy Lowenn.

Section 14(1) of the Road Trafc Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)

The County of Cornwall (Temporary Prohibition of Trafc) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by trafc over an area of highway being Trevelgue Road for its entire length and Road from Trevelgue Road to Junction East of Benn Park Newquay, Porth Bean Road for its entire length, Veor Road for its entire length, Duchy Avenue for its entire length, Penhallow Road for its entire length, and Headland Road, Newquay for its entire length. While the Order is in operation, trafc,excluding pedestrian movement, along the highway specifed in paragraph 1, will be temporarily prohibited.

The B3276 will be subject to a temporary 30mph speed restriction between grid reference SW 84210 64846 and grid reference SW 83308 63443 for a distance of approximately 2 kilometres.

The A3059 will be subject to a temporary 30mph speed restriction between grid reference SW 86869 62982 and grid reference SW 85330 62377 for a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometres.

The Road from Junction South East of Benn Park to Access to Aerohub 2 will be subject to a temporary 30mph speed restriction for its entire length for a distance of approximately 1.45 kilometres.

The A3059 will be subject to a temporary 30mph speed restriction between the junction of St Columb Major Industrial Estate and the A39 Roundabout at St Columb Major for a distance of approximately 700 metres.

The A39 will be subject to a temporary 30mph speed restriction between grid reference SW 91316 62696 and grid reference SW 91195 62152 for a distance of approximately 600 metres.

The A39 Roundabout at St Columb Major will be subject to a temporary 30mph speed restriction for its entire length for a distance of approximately 200 metres.

The Road from the A39 Roundabout at St Columb Major to Castle Road will be subject to a temporary 30mph speed restriction between grid reference SW 91299 62374 and grid reference SW 91451 62310 for a distance of approximately 180 metres.

A one way restriction will be imposed on Tregurrian Hill for its entire length,Trevarrian Hill for its entire Length, Road from Trevarrian Hill to Mawgan Porth Hill for its entire length, and the B3276 between Tregurrian Hill and junction North of Penvose farm for its entire length.

No right turn orders will be implemented at Access to Watergate Beach complex at the junction with Trevarrian Hill, and at SW 84316 64924 on Tregurrian Hill.

No left turn orders will be implemented at the junction of Road from Trevarrian Hill and to tregurrian at the junction with Trevarrian Hill, and on the road from shrub cottage to junction north of deer crest at the junction with Mawgan Porth Hill.

A parking suspension will be imposed on Clif Road from property 12 to property 29 on both sides of the carriageway.

The Order shall come into operation on 5th August 2024 at 07:00 and shall remain in force until 13th August 2024 at 21:00, however, this order can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport. The event is expected to be completed by the 12th August 2024.

The prohibitions and restrictions will be in force from 0700 hours on the 5th August 2024 and continue until 21:00 hours on the 13th August 2024, weekends included.

The Council is satisfed that the order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public during Boardmasters Festival 2024.

Nothing in the Order will apply to:

a. Any police, fre brigade, ambulance or coastguard vehicle, or any personnel on ofcial duty, or any vehicle or person authorised by and with the permission of Cornwall Council.

b. Any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitate the bringing of vehicles into the section of highway to which this order applies.

c. Vehicles used by delivery drivers, hotel guests and hotel staf requiring access to businesses and properties located on veor Road, Porth Bean Road, Trevelgue Road, Duchy Avenue, and Penhallow Road.

d. Vehicles used by delivery drivers, hotel guests, hotel staf and visitors requiring access to businesses, properties and Little Fistral car park along Headland Road Newquay only

e. Trafc associated with the event required within the highway specifed above.

Vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

Section 14(1) and Section 22(C) of the Road Trafc Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) 

The County of Cornwall (Watergate Bay Newquay) (Temporary Prohibition of Trafc) Order 2024 

Notice is hereby given that, on the recommendation of the Chief Ofcer of Police for Devon and Cornwall and on it appearing to Cornwall Council that it is necessary to mitigate danger to the public or damage to the highway (from incidents) that may arise from the hosting of an event taking place at Newquay, the various closures as listed in this order are to be introduced as specifed. 

Road afected – Watergate Road, Newquay north of the junction for the entrance to the Sands Resort Hotel and the junction of Tregurrian Hill 

The various measures imposed by this order will come into force at 0700 hours on Wednesday 7th August 2024 and will remain in force until 0700 hours on Monday 12th August 2024.

Section 14(1) of the Road Trafc Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)

Temporary Prohibition of Trafc Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 4th July 2024 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by trafc over an area of highway being Bridleway 4, Pentewan, north section between grid references SX 02055:47985 to SX 02126:47984. The Council is satisfed that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to an uneven, slippery and dangerous surface. The Bridleway is closed only to those driving, leading or riding a horse.

The Order will come into operation on 5th July 2024 and the works are expected to be completed by the 5th January 2025.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 14th June 2024 for a period of up to 21 days.

Nothing in this Order will apply to trafc associated with the works required within the highway specifed above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police ofcer.

Section 14(1) of the Road Trafc Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)

Temporary Prohibition of Trafc Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 3rd July 2024 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by trafc over an area of highway being Bridleway 6, in the Parish of Tywardreath and Par between grid references SX 07657:54505 and SX 08184:54906. The Council is satisfed that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to stream breaching the bank over which the Bridleway runs.

The Order will come into operation on 4th July 2024 and the works are expected to be completed by the 4th January 2025.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 13th June 2024 for a period of up to 21 days.

Nothing in this Order will apply to emergency services, trafc associated with the works required within the highway specifed above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police ofcer.

Section 14(1) of the Road Trafc Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)

The County of Cornwall (Carclaze Road, St Austell) (Temporary Prohibition of Trafc) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 8th July 2024 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by trafc of the undermentioned length of road in St Austell. This prohibition is necessary for works to provide overhead cabling and it is expected that the closure will be from 18th July 2024 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only.

Road afected - Carclaze Road, St Austell from roundabout at the A391 North East Distributor Road to junction at Phernyssick Road.
