NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER
SECTION 257 – TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
PUBLIC FOOTPATHS O22 (PART) AND O35 (PART) BARDON HILL QUARRY WITHIN THE BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH AND THE DISTRICT OF NORTH-WEST LEICESTERSHIRE
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND CREATION ORDER 2024

The above Order made on 26th June 2024 will divert and create parts of Public Footpaths O22 and O35 as follows.

The section of Public Footpath O22 within the Parishes of Markfield and Bardon and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth and the District of North West Leicestershire, shown by a solid black line on the relevant plan, which extends from Grid Reference 44695 31181 in generally northerly and north north-westerly directions for a distance of approximately 240 metres to Grid Reference 44691 31205, then in generally north westerly, northerly and north north-westerly directions for a distance of approximately 757 metres to Grid Reference 44654 31267.

The section of Public Footpath O22 within the Parish of Markfield and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth, shown by a solid black line on the relevant plan, which extends from Grid Reference 44691 31205, in generally easterly and east south-easterly directions for a distance of approximately 205 metres to Grid Reference 44709 31196.

The section of Public Footpath O22 within the Parish of Bardon and the District of North-West Leicestershire, shown by a solid black line on the relevant plan, which extends from Grid Reference 45655 31306, in generally easterly and northerly directions for a distance of approximately 140 metres to Grid Reference 44662 31313.

The sections of Public Footpath to be diverted has a recorded width of 1.8 metres.

A Public Footpath, reference O22 within the Parish of Markfield and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth, as shown by bold black dashes on the relevant plan, which extends from Grid Reference 44639 31198) in generally east south-easterly and easterly directions for a distance of approximately 180 metres to Grid Reference 44658 31194. Then continuing in generally south easterly, east south-easterly, north easterly and easterly directions for a distance of approximately 410 metres to Grid Reference 44695 31181

Then continuing in a generally east south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 100 metres to Grid Reference 44704 31178.

Then continuing in generally north north-easterly, north westerly an d north easterly directions, for a distance of approximately 230 metres to Grid Reference 44709 31196. A Public Footpath, reference O22, within the Parish of Bardon and the District of North-West Leicestershire, as shown by bold black dashes on the relevant plan, which extends from Grid Reference 45655 31306 in a generally north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 95 metres to Grid Reference 44662 31313.

The sections of Public Footpath will have a width of 3 metres.

The section of Public Footpath O35 within the Parish of Bardon and the District of North-West Leicestershire, shown by a solid black line on the relevant plan, which extends from Grid Reference 44703 31338 in a generally north north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 310 metres to Grid Reference 44716 31365.

The section of Public Footpath to be diverted has no recorded width.

A Public Footpath, reference O35 within the Parish of Bardon and the District of North West Leicestershire, as shown by bold black dashes on the relevant plan, which extends from a junction with Public Footpath O22 Grid Reference 44663 31317 in a generally easterly direction for a distance of approximately 130 metres to Grid Reference 44676 31318.

Then continuing in a generally north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 330 metres to Grid Reference 44703 31338. Then continuing in generally north easterly, north north-easterly, northerly and north westerly directions, for a distance of approximately 390 metres to Grid Reference 44716 31365.

The section of Public Footpath will have a width of 3 metres.

A Public Footpath, reference O22 within the Parish of Markfield and the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth, as shown by bold black dashes on the relevant plan, which extends from Grid Reference 44709 31196 in generally north easterly and easterly directions for a distance of approximately 275 metres to Grid Reference 44731 31210. Then continuing in a generally east south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 65 metres to Grid Reference 44736 31207).

The section of Public Footpath will have a width of 3 metres.

A copy of the Order and map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield and the offices of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley LE10 0FR and North-West Leicestershire District Council on Whitwick Road, Coalville LE67 3FJ during normal office hours. A copy has also been sent to Bardon Parish Council and Markfield Parish Council.

Copies of the Order and map may be purchased.

Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent in writing to me at the undermentioned address quoting reference HTWMT/4572 not later than 9th August 2024. Please state the grounds on which it is made. If no such representation or objection is duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Leicestershire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representation or objection which has not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

PUBLIC FOOTPATHS O35 (PART), BARDON HILL QUARRY WITHIN THE BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH AND THE DISTRICT OF NORTH-WEST LEICESTERSHIRE
PUBLIC PATH (TEMPORARY) STOPPING UP ORDER 2024

The above Order made on 26th June 2024 will temporarily stop up until 31st December 2060 the section of Public Footpath O35 within the Parish of Bardon and the District of North-West Leicestershire as shown by a solid black line on Plan No. 2617B, which extends from the point marked “H” on the plan, situated at Grid Reference 44681 31300 in a generally north north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 465 metres to the point marked “F” on the plan situated at Grid Reference 44703 31338.

The section of footpath to be temporarily stopped up has no recorded width.

A copy of the Order and map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield and the offices of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley LE10 0FR and North-West Leicestershire District Council on Whitwick Road, Coalville LE67 3FJ during normal office hours.
