What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF LUTON
(BEECH PATH)
(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE)
(LTFC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that Luton Borough Council, the Highway Authority for the said Borough, on 8th July 2024 made the above Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The Order will come into operation on 3rd August 2024 for a period of 6 months or when the proposed football matches have finished, whichever is the earlier. Specific dates and times will be signed locally. The Order will therefore be in operation during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs, barriers or cones.

The effect of the Order will allow the Council to close to pedestrians Beech Path footpath (also known as Ash Road Path) (Public Right of Way L103) the length running from Kenilworth Road to Ash Road. Diversion via Kenilworth Road, Dunstable Road, Ash Road.

The Order is intended to create a window for the Luton Town Football Club matches to take place and it is anticipated that the football matches will take place over a period as described above. The purpose of the Order is to enable the safe passage of highway users attending Luton Town Football Club matches. Access will be maintained as best as possible to properties where this may be done safely whilst the football matches are taking place.
