What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(HARLINGTON: FOOTPATH NO 2 AND WESTONING: PART OF FOOTPATH NO 15)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of public Footpath No 2, Harlington and part of public Footpath No 15, Westoning which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0259 3110 in a south easterly direction for approximately 934 metres to OS GR TL 0332 3056.
This temporary closure is required due to site construction works taking place on Footpath No 2, Harlington and part of Footpath No 15, Westoning. The closure is expected to be in place from 16 July 2024 to 15 January 2025 or until the works have completed.
There are no alternative routes available along public rights of way, however the developer may provide and sign an alternative route within their land.
Further details, including a map, can also be found on the Council’s website at: https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/info/82/countryside/431/rights_of_way/2 The Order will come into operation on 16 July 2024 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpaths have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(LANGDALE ROAD, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Langdale Road, Dunstable between Canesworde Road and Hilton Avenue.
This temporary closure is required to enable drainage repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 29 July to 30 August 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Bullpond Lane, Garden Road, A5183, B489, Meadway, Canesworde Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 29 July 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street North, Dunstable outside number 76.
This temporary closure is required to enable sewer repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 29 July to 2 August 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A505, A5505, A5, Watling Street, A505 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 29 July 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
