THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, DOVER DISTRICT)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)
(No. 112) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL have made the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the Order will be to further amend Kent County Council (Various Roads, Dover District) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Order 2005 as follows:

RESIDENTS’ PARKING

Deal

Some uncontrolled lengths of road will become time limited residents’ parking bays as follows

Albert Road – fronting 5 – 19 and 31-41; Matthews Close – it is proposed to install double yellow lines (no waiting at any time) throughout except in resident’s parking bays or across driveways on the outside of the bend from the side of 20 Middle Deal Road to the north-western extremity near 42 (except fronting 28 and 30 and fronting 34 and the garage to 36); fronting 57 to 65; fronting 15 and 27 and 29. Middle Deal Road – from Albert Road to Southwall Road no waiting at any time except on the northern side between 26 and 52, and on the southern side between 23 and 79.  Sutherland Road - no waiting at any time along the whole of the northern side, and as marked on the southern side at the junction with Albert Road.  The remainder of the southern side to be residents’ parking bays.

 

The new residents’ parking bays will be attached to Zone P (currently all residents of Bridgeside, Odd Numbers 1 - 9 London Road, Even Numbers 10 - 26 London Road, Even Numbers 28 - 68 Albert Road.). Permit prices are between £40.00 and £120.00 for the first permit and for a second permit, £65.00 and £145.00 depending on the emissions of the vehicle.

Residents’ Permit holders will be permitted to park without limit of time.  Non-permit holders will be limited to 2 hours free parking (No return within 4 hours) between 8.30am and 5.30pm on Mondays to Saturdays. 

A vehicle may be parked without time limit in a marked bay once a valid permit has been purchased.  The purchase of a permit does not guarantee a space and does not allow parking on yellow lines.  Residents or households are entitled to two Residents’ Parking permits.

DISABLED PERSONS VEHICLE PARKING PLACES

Parking places for disabled persons vehicles will be provided in the following locations –

Dover – across the frontages of 6 Astor Avenue; 15 Brookfield Avenue; 9 Charlton Avenue; 117 Crabble Hill; 4 De Burgh Hill; 86 and 102 Elms Vale Road; 415 Folkestone Road; 16 Kearsney Avenue, Temple Ewell; 2 Lowther Road; 28 Markland Road; 34 Monins Road; 90 Old Folkestone Road, Aycliff and 35 Wyndham Road.

Deal - across the frontages of 39 Albert Road; 17 Ethelbert Road and 7 Liverpool Road, Walmer.

Eastry - across the frontage of 1 Cooks Lea, Eastry

Capel- le- Ferne - across the frontage of 21 Cauldham Close

Disabled persons vehicle parking places in the following locations are no longer required and will be removed –

The Order was made on 27th June, 2024 and will come into force on 8th July, 2024.
