What is happening?

NORTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL

LENZIEMILL ROAD, CUMBERNAULD (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)

ORDER 2024

On 1 July 2024 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on carriageway resurfacing) on Lenziemill Road, Cumbernauld from B8039 Janes Brae Roundabout to GIST Entrance by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on north side of closure will be diverted via B8039

Janes Brae, Slip Road 1, A8011 Glasgow Road, A8011 to B8048 Link Road,

Back O’Hill Roundabout, B8048 Kirkintilloch Road, A73 Auchenkilns Road and Lenziemill Road

Vehicles on south side of closure will be diverted via Lenziemill Road, A73

Auchenkilns Road, B8048 Kirkintilloch Road, Back O’Hill Roundabout, B8048-A8011 Link Road, A8011 Glasgow Road, Slip Road 2, B8039 Janes Brae and Lenziemill Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.

Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.

The Order, will come into operation at 0600 hours on Monday, 15 July 2024 and will remain in operation until 1800 hours on Wednesday, 31 July 2024.
