Crossley Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Left And Right Turn And Temporary One Way Traffic
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (CROSSLEY ROAD, HEATON CHAPEL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LEFT AND RIGHT TURN AND TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC) NOTICE 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffc (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary one way closure no access from Wellington Road North onto Crossley Road and no right Turn from Westholm Avenue onto Crossley Road. Temporary one way Traffc at Crossley Road, between Wellington Road North and Sir Richard Fairey Road. Temporary left turn only out of Westholm Avenue, whilst traffc signs to that effect are in place on or near the said roads. This Order is necessary because electrical connection works are being, or are proposed to be executed. It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 24 days. Alternative routes will be provided via:- Diversion 1 - Stockport Road, Albert Road,Moseley Road Kingsway, Grangethorpe Drive.Diversion 2 - Wellington Road North, Travis Brow, Didsbury Roundabout, Didsbury Road, Burnage Lane. This Order is to come into operation on the 27 July 2024 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
