What is happening?

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PART OF A NON DEFINITIVE ROUTE TO WHICH THE PUBLIC HAVE ACCESS AND FOOTPATH FP0910016 COPPULL, CHORLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the routes indicated below:-

Part of a non definitive route to which the public have access and Footpath FP0910016 Coppull, Chorley from point A (GR 356, 704 414, 699) at the junction with Spendmore Lane in a generally south easterly direction to point B (GR 356,432 414,526) at the junction with Clayton Gate. A total distance of approximately 250 metres.

The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpath.

Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works

The Order will be operative from the 6th July, 2024, for a period of 1 month or until the works are completed within this period.
