Tunbridge Wells, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic  Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

A26 St. Johns Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells (SUSPENSION OF BUS LANE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow highway maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of the bus lane on A26 St. Johns Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 29th July 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The bus lane will be suspended between Woodbury Park Road and Culverden Park. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

A262 Goudhurst Road, Colliers Green Road & Flishinghurst Lane, Cranbrook (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A262 Goudhurst Road, Colliers Green Road & Flishinghurst Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 29th July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

A262 Goudhurst Road will have a temporary speed limit of 30mph imposed at the crossroads of Colliers Green Road & Flishinghurst Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Colliers Green Road will be closed outside Lower Oast. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Flishinghurst Lane will be closed outside Four Wents Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic on Colliers Green Road is via A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Cranbrook Road, B2084 Chequers Road, B2079 North Road, B2079 Summerhill, B2079 Winchet Hill, B2079 Goudhurst Road, Sherenden Lane, Wilden Park Road, Husheath Hill, Round Green Lane, Colliers Green Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for access only traffic on Flishinghurst Lane is via A262 Goudhurst Road, Chalk Lane, Flishinghurst Lane and vice versa.

 

A264 Langton Road, Rusthall, TN4 8XB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A264 Langton Road, Rusthall, on or after 19th July 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction of Dornden Drive and St. Pauls Church, during the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A264 Langton Road, A264 Bishops Down, A264 Mount Ephraim, A26 Mount Ephraim, A26 St Johns Road, A26 London Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, B2176 Penshurst Road, B2176 Rogues Hill, B2188 High Street, B2188 Fordcombe Road, B2188 New Road, B2188 Saints Hill, B2188 Spring Hill, B2188 Fordcombe Road, A264 Ashurst Road, A264 Langton Road and vice versa.

 

B2086 Benenden Road, Cranbrook (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2086 Benenden Road, Cranbrook, on or after 29th July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Chequer Tree Farmhouse. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Cranbrook Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Regent Street, A28 High Street, A28 Hastings Road, A268 Rye Road, A268 Queen Street, A268 Megrims Hill, A268 Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Hartley Road, B2086 Swattenden Lane, B2086 Benenden Road and vice versa.

 

B2086 Cranbrook Road, Benenden (TEMPORARY SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow a gas supply disconnection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of B2086 Cranbrook Road, Benenden, on or after 31st July 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

Traffic on B2086 Cranbrook Road will be restricted to 40mph between Grey Gables and The Barn House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

Dowding Way & Lamberts Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & NO LEFT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dowding Way & Lamberts Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 20th July 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside North Farm Cottages, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Traffic will be prohibited from turning left out of Lamberts Road into Dowding Way.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dowding Way, North Farm Road, Upper Grosvenor Road, Sandhurst Road, Birken Road, Liptraps Lane, Lamberts Road and vice versa.

 

Gate Farm Road, Bidborough, TN3 0XA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow drainage improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gate Farm Road, Bidborough, on or after 15th July 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction of Hayesden Road and Broadfield. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gate Farm Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, B2176 Penshurst Road, Hayesden Lane and vice versa.

 

Holden Corner, Southborough, TN4 0LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holden Corner, Southborough, on or after 16th July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Constitutional Hill Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Mount Pleasant Avenue, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas main improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mount Pleasant Avenue, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 15th July 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Mount Pleasant Avenue Car Park. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way order on Mount Pleasant Avenue will be suspended to allow access during works.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mount Pleasant Avenue, Mount Pleasant Road, Mount Pleasant Avenue and vice versa.

 

Romford Road, Matfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Romford Road, Matfield, on or after 29th July 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hayes Wood, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Romford Road, Foxhole Lane, Chestnut Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 Pembury Bypass, Hastings Road, Henwood Green Road, Woodside Road, Romford Road and vice versa.

 

Woodside Road, Rusthall, TN4 8NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodside Road, Rusthall, on or after 16th July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Grange Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
