Sevenoaks, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic  Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

A20 London Road, Farningham. DA4 0DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of carriageway surface dressing and lockchip works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 London Road, Farningham.

Closures are planned for 30th July 2024 between 04.30hrs and 07.00hrs for 1 day and 5th August 2024 for approx. 1 hour between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs.

The road will be closed between A225 Dartford Road and Scratchers Lane.

The alternative route is via A225 Dartford Road, A225 Main Road, Parsonage Lane, Darenth Hill, B260 Green Street Green Road, B260 Main Road, B260 Longfield Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Gravesend Road, A20 London Road, A20 Gorse Hill and vice versa.

 

B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill, TN14 6BU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill, Ide Hill, on or after 16th July 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Crossways.

The alternative route is via B2024 Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road/High Street/Brasted Road, B2026 Hosey Hill/Hosey Common Road, B269 Spout Lane/Pootings Road, B2042 Ide Hill Road/Green Lane/Wheatsheaf Hill and vice versa.

 

Bore Place Road, Chiddingstone. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new electricity connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bore Place Road, Chiddingstone, on or after 29th July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hickens.

The alternative route is via Bore Place Road, B2027 Tonbridge Road, Hale Oak Road, Bowzell Road, Bowzell Green, Baileys Hill Road and vice versa.

 

Chart Lane, Brasted, TN16 1JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Lane, Brasted, on or after 19th July 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between A25 High Street and Heverswood Farm.

The alternative route is via A25 High Street, A25 Main Road, New Road, Ide Hill Road, Emmetts Lane, Chart Lane and vice versa.

 

Hodsoll Street, Hodsoll Street, TN15 7LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new gas connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hodsoll Street, Hodsoll Street, on or after 15th July 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Alicia.

The alternative route is via Hodsoll Street, A227 Gravesend Road, Oak Farm Lane and vice versa.

 

Main Road, Knockholt. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of UK Power Networks and Thames Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Main Road, Knockholt, on or after 29th July 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Mount Cottages and Brasted Lane.

The alternative route is via Main Road, Cudham Lane South, Cudham Lane North, A21 Sevenoaks Road, Rushmore Hill, Main Road and vice versa.

 

Priory Lane, Eynsford, DA4 0BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of SGN works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Priory Lane, Eynsford, on or after 15th July 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Applegarth.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

 

Stone Street, Seal. TN15 0LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of installation of new electricity cables, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stone Street, Seal, on or after 31st July 2024 for up to 14 days between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Church Road and Pond Lane.

The alternative route is via Stone Street, Bitchet Green Road, Park Lane, Grove Road, Hall Hill and vice versa.

 

The Brooms, Seal. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on / part of The Brooms, Seal, on or after 1st August 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Forge Lane and Pillar Box Lane.

The alternative route is via Forge Lane, Styants Bottom Road, Pillar Box Lane and vice versa.

 

Underriver House Road, Underriver. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Underriver House Road, Underriver, on or after 1st August 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Coach House.

The alternative route is via Underriver House Road, Carters Hill, Mill Lane and vice versa.
