What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Piddington, Marsh Gibbon Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 01/07/2024 Coming into force: 08/07/2024 This Order is being introduced because of rail bridge reinforcement work (and affecting 20 metres of road either side) which is anticipated to take until 30/8/2024 to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic proceeding in Marsh Gibbon Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to property which is only accessible from the closed section of road. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13719/RMF)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Chesterton, Akeman Street Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 01/07/2024 Coming into force: 10/07/2024 This Order is being introduced because of replacement of the M40 bridge joints across the carriageway and associated surfacing repairs and line painting which is anticipated to take 8 days to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Akeman Street west of Chesterton. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Akemen Street, Northampton Road B430, A4095 towards Chesterton, Green Lane and Vice Versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13856/RMF)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Chesterton, A4095 Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 22/07/2024

Coming into force: 29/07/2024 This Order is being introduced because of the installation of new services, kerbing and resurfacing works outside Chesterton Hotel which are anticipated to be completed 30 August.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic proceeding in the whole length of A4095, Chesterton. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A4095, Oxford Road, Bicester Road and Vice Versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13922/RMF)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Bicester A41 Speed reduction Date of Order: 01/07/2024 Coming into force: 06/07/2024 This Order is being introduced for road safety during construction of a new bell-mouth access to Symmetry Park which is anticipated to take until May 2025 to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in excess of 50 mph in sections of the dual carriageway between the M40/A41/A34 Wendlebury intersection and Bicester. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14182/RMF)
