NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
Achilles Road, Archer Road, Balfour Road, Bradfields Avenue, Carpeaux Close, Chestnut Avenue, Churchill Avenue, East Street, Hope Street, Gorse Avenue, Lordswood Lane, Maidstone Road ME4 6DQ, Myrtle Cres, Neville Road, Renown Road, Shirley Avenue, Slade Close, Stag Road, York Avenue
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council proposes to make the above-mentioned orders under sections 1, 2, 4 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The general effect of the Amendment order will be to introduce lengths of No waiting at any time’(double yellow lines) in the roads below within Chatham, except where otherwise stated:
a) Achilles Rd – East side, 11m northwards from Renown Rd (on the corner);
b) Archer Rd – South side, between Lordswood Lane and Stag Rd junctions (59.8m) and 10.6m eastwards from Stag Rd;
c) Balfour Rd – East side, from 2m south of the side of No.2, northwards for 9.7m across the rear access road;
d) Bradfields Ave – (a) South-west side, 7.7m south-eastwards from Churchill Ave,
(b) North-east side, 5m south-eastwards from Churchill Ave to the dropped kerb;
e) Carpeaux Close – South-west side, change parking bay from ‘Permit holders C only Mon-Sat 8am-7pm’ to ‘Permit holders C only at all times’;
f) Chestnut Ave – Both sides, 10m south-eastwards from York Ave;
g) Churchill Ave – South-east side, 5.2m north-eastwards and 7.1m south-westwards from Bradfields Ave;
h) East Street – North-east side, 7m south-eastwards from Hope Street, by No.42;
i) Hope Street – South-east side, 3m north-eastwards from East Street, by No.42;
j) Gorse Ave – North side, 4.1m lengths westwards and eastwards from Myrtle Crescent;
k) Lordswood Lane: East side, 13.2m northwards and 22m southwards from Archer Rd junction;
l) Maidstone Road – North-west side, reduce the parking bay and extend the double yellow lines outside No.112 south-westwards by 3m;
m) Myrtle Crescent – (a) West side, 35m northwards from Gorse Ave, just south of No.1,
(b) East side, 4.2m northwards from Gorse Ave, partly in front of No.2;
n) Neville Rd – 9.6m Disabled bay outside the church, operating Sun and Thurs 10am – 8pm;
o) Renown Rd – North side, 11.5m eastwards from Achilles Rd, on the corner;
p) Shirley Ave – Change from double yellow lines to 30 minutes waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm (no return within 1 hour): (a) North-west side of the roundabout, a 9m bay outside Nos.4-5,
(b) South-west side of the roundabout, a 10m bay outside Nos.21-22 (PO / pharmacy);
q) Slade Close – South-east side, 15m opposite Nos.14 and 16 to maintain access at dead end;
r) Stag Rd – (a) West side, 7.3m southwards from Archer Rd to No.2’s dropped kerb,
(b) East side, 5.9m southwards from Archer Rd to No.1’s dropped kerb;
s) York Ave – South-east side, 13m south-westwards and 16m north-eastwards of Chestnut Ave;
Any objections or other representations about the proposed order should be sent in writing by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk or by post to Parking Design team at the address specified in the paragraph below by Friday, 2 August 2024, stating name, address and grounds for objection or support.
Copies of the order, plans and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the order can be inspected at Chatham Library, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TX during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except for public holidays. Electronic copies of the documents can be requested by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk on the understanding that requests may take up to five working days to be processed.

TASWELL ROAD AREA, RAINHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable the gas main to be replaced -
Taswell Road area, Rainham – roads to be closed to all vehicular traffic (a) in Skene Close, (b) in Taswell Road between Henry Street and Wakeley Road, (c) in Wakeley Road between Taswell Road and Scott Avenue, and (d) in Henry Street from Taswell Road for 50 metres in an easterly direction and . Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Station Road, High Street and Otterham Quay Lane. No alternative route is
available for Skene Close and emergency access will be maintained at all times.
This order will come into force on Monday, 22 July 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 22 July 2024 and are programmed for completion within six weeks.
The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are
being displayed.

SHARSTED WAY ROUNDABOUT, GILLINGHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing to be carried out -
Sharsted Way Roundabout, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic for the entire circumference of the roundabout. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed via Hempstead Valley Drive and Hempstead Road. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
This order will come into force on Monday, 12 August 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 August 2024 and are programmed for completion within three nights (with works taking place between 8pm and 6am each night). The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

SEYMOUR ROAD, RAINHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new electricity cable to be installed -
Seymour Road, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic opposite Farriers Court. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed via Otterham Quay Lane. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
This order will come into force on Monday, 12 August 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 August 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are
being displayed.

RAINHAM NORTH (PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS)
(AMENDMENT NO.16) ORDER 2024
NOTICE OF MAKING
William Street, Rainham ME8 8HN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council on Tuesday, 9 July 2024 made the above- mentioned order under sections 1, 2, 45, 46, 53 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the amendment order, which comes into operation on Monday, 15 July 2024, will be to adjust the parking bay outside No.6 to accommodate a dropped kerb (vehicle crossing) for driveway access. Objections have been duly considered, but access to rear of property for No.6 is inadequate and private parking facilities no longer exist (i.e. garage).

before the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the order was made.
Persons wishing to question the validity of the order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the act or any instrument made under the act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the above date on which the order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

DUX COURT ROAD, HOO
CHANGES TO WAITING RESTRICTIONS - NOTICE OF PROPOSALS
The Medway Council (Various Areas) (Parking Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. *) order 2024
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council proposes to make the above-mentioned order under sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 37, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The effect of the order would be to introduce lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the west side of Dux Court Road at the Deangate Ridge Country Park car park entrance and exit.
3. (1) From the entrance / exit to the Deangate Ridge Country Park Car Park and Indoor Bowls Centre, north-westwards for 12.5 metres. (2) From the entrance / exit to the Deangate Ridge Country Park Car Park and Indoor Bowls Centre, south-eastwards for 12.5 metres.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council proposes to make the above-mentioned order under sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 37, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The effect of the order would be to introduce lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on parts of the west side of Capstone Road at the Capstone Country Park entrances and exits.
3. (1) From the exit to Capstone Orchard car park (opposite No.481 Capstone Road), north-westwards for 12.5 metres. (2) From the exit to Capstone Orchard car park (opposite No.481 Capstone Road), south-eastwards for 12.5 metres. (3) From the entrance to Capstone Orchard car park, (opposite No.483 Capstone Road), north-westwards for 12.5 metres. The Medway Council (Prescribed Routes) (Walderslade Road Access Road)
(No. *) order 2024
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council proposes to make the above-mentioned
order under sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the order would be to prohibit all vehicles proceeding in Walderslade
Road from entering the Walderslade Road access road fronting Nos. 190 to 204
Walderslade Road (junction opposite No. 207 Walderslade Road).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which
will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable
carriageway reinstatement works to be carried out -
Gundolph Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 3
Gundolph Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided
and signed via Star Hill and Bardell Terrace. Emergency access will be maintained at all
times.
This order will come into force on Wednesday, 14 August 2024 and will be valid for a
maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the
sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 14 August 2024 and are
programmed for completion within two days. The order will be effective only when the
appropriate signs are being displayed.
