RHODDIR HYSBYSIAD DRWY HYN bod y Cyngor fel yr Awdurdod Priffyrdd ar gyfer Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) wedi creu Gorchymyn a fydd yn cyflwyno’r cyfyngiadau dros dro a nodir yn yr atodlen isod. Mae’r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol am nad yw’r lôn gerbydau yn ddigon llydan i gynnal mynediad i gerbydau wrth ailosod wyneb y briffordd ac er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd. Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 22/07/2024 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am uchafswm o 18 mis neu hyd nes y bydd y gwaith wedi’i gwblhau, p’un bynnag sydd gynharaf. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith arfaethedig yn cael ei wneud rhwng 08:00 a 17:00 o 22/07/2024 i 24/07/2024. Atodlen - Ni fydd unrhyw berson yn achosi i unrhyw gerbyd fynd ar hyd Merthyr Mawr Road, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr, o’r gyffordd â St. Marie Street i’r gyffordd â Brynteg Avenue. Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerbydau yw:- Llwybr Amgen 1 - Brynteg Avenue, Ewenny Road, yr A473 Ffordd Osgoi fewnol Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr a Merthyr Mawr Road. Llwybr Amgen 2 - St. Marie Street, Ewenny Road a Brynteg Avenue. Bydd mynediad trwy ardal y cyfyngiad i’r Heddlu, y Gwasanaethau Tân ac Ambiwlans sy’n ymateb i argyfyngau. Cynhelir mynediad i gerddwyr i bob eiddo o fewn ardal y cyfyngiad ar hyd llwybrau a ddiffinnir gydol y cyfnod cau. Fodd bynnag, bydd y cyfyngiad ond yn berthnasol ar adegau ac i’r graddau a ddangosir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig a ragnodir gan Y Rheoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016. BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (MERTHYR MAWR ROAD, BRIDGEND) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Bridgend in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) has made an Order which temporarily introduces the restriction set out in the schedule below. The Order is necessary due to insufficient width of carriageway to maintain vehicular access during carriageway resurfacing works and is in the interest of public safety. The Order will come into force on the 22/07/2024 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated the planned works will be undertaken between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 from the 22/07/2024 to 24/07/2024. Schedule - No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Merthyr Mawr Road, Bridgend, from its junction with St. Marie Street to the junction with Brynteg Avenue. The alternative route for vehicles is via:- Alternative Route 1 - Brynteg Avenue, Ewenny Road, A473 Bridgend inner ByPass and Merthyr Mawr Road. Alternative Route 2 - St. Marie Street, Ewenny Road and Brynteg Avenue. Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure. The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
