What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.29) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1),45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order:

1. To revoke: 'No Waiting at Any Time' Restrictions.

(Rayleigh Weir Slip Road From A129 To A127 Westbound, Benfleet) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Rayleigh Weir Slip Road From A129 To A127 Westbound, Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Rayleigh Weir Roundabout for a distance of approximately 410m in a north westerly direction.

2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 1st August 2024 for 23 nights (21:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2365118 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/ restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while box beam replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Rayleigh Road, London Road, Kiln Road, Bread And Cheese Hill, London Road, Sadlers Farm Roundabout, Pitsea Bypass, Canvey Way, A130 New Bypass.

The Order will come into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rectory Road, Hawkwell/Rochford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, Hawkwell/Rochford in the District of Rochford, from a point approximately 110m north west of the junction with Oaklands Mews, for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for 2 nights, (22:00-06:00) or where stated on a valid permit (KL701SSV-37-40-290724 - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge examination works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Rectory Road, B1013, Hall Road, Ashingdon Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Borough of Castle Point) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.8) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 11th July 2024, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services.

Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

This Order will be incorporated into 'The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019' by substituting map tiles: TQ695 895 Revision 0 to Revision 1, TQ695 897 Revision 0 to Revision 1.

3. To Introduce: Bus Stop Clearway Markings (in compliance with TSRGD regulations) signifying 'No Stopping Except for Buses' at the existing bus stop.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Bardfield, Basildon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bardfield, Basildon in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 125m north east of its junction with Clay Hill Road for a distance of approximately 10m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC337HDL-WDGKMK6J-ABS - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repair works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Bardfield, Kent View Road, Byfletts, Clay Hill Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Brays Lane, Rochford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Canewdon Road, Ashingdon/Canewdon & Lark Hill Road, Canewdon) (Temporary Suspension of 7.5T Weight Restriction) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Brays Lane, Rochford in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Hyde Wood Lane for a distance of approximately 275m in a south westerly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5 tonne weight restriction in those lengths of Canewdon Road, Ashingdon/Canewdon & Lark Hill Road, Canewdon from its junction with Larkhill Road/Hyde Wood Lane westwards to its junction with Ashingdon Road and from its junction with Anchor Lane westwards to its junction with Canewdon Road/Hyde Wood Lane as cited in "Essex County Council (Various Roads, Ashingdon and Canewdon) (Weight Restriction) Order 1991" for the duration of the above closure only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 1st August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFGKDC3S - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Brays Lane, Ashingdon Road, Canewdon Road, Lark Hill Road, Scotts Hall Road, Apton Hall Road, Brays Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Nethermayne, Basildon) (Temporary Introduction of 30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in that length of Nethermayne, Basildon in the Borough of Basildon, from both of its junctions with Fobbing Farm Roundabout to both of its junctions with Five Bells Roundabout North a distance of approximately 1305m. The speed restriction is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP022310110301 -Natta Building Company Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs.

Alternative Route

B1014, A13, B1006 and vice versa.

Main Diversion: B1014, Seaview Road, Eastern Esplanade, Furtherwick Road, B1014 and vice versa.

Mitchells Avenue Diversion: Smallgains Avenue, Gwendalen Avenue B1006, A130, A130 and vice versa.

(Dry Street, Langdon Hills) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dry Street, Langdon Hills in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Nether Mayne for a distance of approximately 750m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th July 2024 for 3 nights (20:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231011076 - Natta Building Company LTD). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while manhole repair works are undertaken by Natta Building Company LTD.

An alternative route is available via A176, A13, A1014, B1007 and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 27th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
