Dudley Bus/Tram Interchange - Temporary Road Restrictions

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTIONS 14 AND 15 (AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC 

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991) 

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF DUDLEY (DUDLEY BUS/TRAM INTERCHANGE) (DUDLEY TOWN CENTRE) 

(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council have made the above-mentioned Order because works are or are being proposed to be executed on or near the roads detailed below in connection with the Dudley Bus/Tram interchange scheme. The effect of the Order shall be that:-

 • A temporary one-way traffic restriction shall be in force on: Priory Road, Dudley from Ednam Road to Priory Street in a southeast bound direction; New Street, Dudley from Priory Street to Tower Street in a southeast bound direction; Tower Street, Dudley from Priory Road to Stone Street in a southwest bound direction; Stone Street, Dudley from Tower Street to Priory Street in a northwest bound direction;

 • A temporary prohibition of waiting and loading on Tower Street, Dudley from The Broadway, Dudley, to a point 28m south of the junction with the Broadway.

 • The County Borough of Dudley (Traffic Regulation) (Tower Street) order 1947 shall be suspended for the duration of the above restrictions. 

The effects of the Order shall apply only during such times and to such extent from time to time indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. 

The Council is satisfied that the execution of the works will take longer than eighteen months and the Council shall revoke this Order as soon as the works are completed. 

The Order shall come into force on Saturday 13th July 2024.
