(A582 FARINGTON ROAD, FARINGTON, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH COUNCIL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of A582 Farington Road, Farington (westbound carriageway only) from its junction with A5083 Stanifield Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative nightly 2200 hours to 0600 hours from Monday 22nd July 2024 until Friday 26th July 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
A582 Flensburg Way – A582 Penwortham Way – A582 Golden Way – A582 Guild Way – A59 Ring Way – A6 Stanley Street – A6 London Road – A6 London Way – A582 Lostock Lane and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow utility works to be carried out.
