(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHEMPSTEAD ROAD,
BENINGTON/WHEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Whempstead Road, Benington/ Whempstead from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.68 Whempstead Road south westwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Mill Lane, a distance of approximately 1860m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Whempstead Road, Town Lane, Church Green, Walkern Road, High Street, Ware Road, A602 Ware Road and Whempstead Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HERTINGFORDBURY ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hertingfordbury Road, Hertford from a point 87m south east of its junction with the A414 Hertingfordbury Road/Thieves Lane South roundabout south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 244m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Hertingfordbury Road, A414 Cole Green Bypass and Hertingfordbury Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF NO.24 ROWLANDS CLOSE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the east side of No.24 Rowlands Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Rowlands Close north westwards, south westwards, northwards and south westwards for its entire length (“the Footpath”).

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN 3U136 (UNNAMED ROAD), WELLPOND GREEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of 3U136 (unnamed road), Wellpond Green from its junction with Frogs Hall Lane south eastwards to its junction with 3U40 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 355m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via 3U136 (unnamed road), A120 Stortford Road, High Street, Hadham Road and 3U40 (unnamed road).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CROUCH LANE, GOFFS OAK) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crouch Lane, Goffs Oak from its junction with Rosebury Close south eastwards for a distance of approximately 133m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Crouch Lane, Newgatestreet Road, Hammondstreet Road, Argent Way and Crouch Lane.

The Order is needed because entrance construction works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN GOFFS OAK) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of Roads, except for access:-

a) the service road fronting Nos.75-123 Cuffley Hill, Goffs Oak from its westernmost junction with B156 Cuffley Hill south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 143m.

An alternative route will be via B156 Cuffley Hill, Jones Road and the service road fronting Nos.75-123 Cuffley Hill.

b) that length of B156 Crouch Lane, Goffs Oak from a point in line with the southern boundary of ‘Little Hennons’ northwards, eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 830m.

An alternative route will be via Crouch Lane, Newgatestreet Road, Hammondstreet Road, Argent Road and Crouch Lane or via Crouch Lane, Newgatestreet Road, St James Road, Rags Lane and Crouch Lane.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of B156 Cuffley Hill, Goffs Oak from a point in line with the western boundary of No.211 Cuffley Hill north eastwards for a distance of approximately 488m, when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because the renewal of existing water mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN BUNTINGFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ermine Street, Buntingford from a point 100m north west of its junction with Neale Drive south eastwards for a distance of approximately 135m.

An alternative route will be via Ermine Street, A10 Buntingford Bypass, London Road, Station Road, B1038 High Street, High Street and Ermine Street or via Ermine Street, High Street, B1038 Baldock Road, A10 Buntingford Bypass and Ermine Street.

2. To prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of B1038 Baldock Road, Buntingford from its junction with the A10 Buntingford Bypass/A507 Baldock Road roundabout north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with B1038 High Street, a distance of approximately 708m.

3. To prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of Station Road/London Road, Buntingford from its junction with B1038 High Street south eastwards to its junction with the A10 Buntingford Bypass/Keen Avenue roundabout, a distance of approximately 1077m.

The Order is needed because the construction of a new road junction is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MILL LANE, BROXBOURNE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mill Lane, Broxbourne from a point in line with the eastern boundary of ‘Ashtree Cottage’ north westwards to a point in line with the western boundary of ‘Spring House’, a distance of approximately 55m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, Churchfields, B194 Station Road, A1170 High Road and Mill Lane.

The Order is needed because carriageway reinstatement works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BYDE STREET, HERTFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Byde Street, Hertford from its junction with Farquhar Street south westwards to its junction with Wellington Street, a distance of approximately 108m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Farquhar Street, Duncombe Road, Cross Road, B158 (Bengeo Street/Port Hill/Cowbridge/Old Cross), St Andrew Street, North Road, A119 North Road, Beane Road, Molewood Road, Nelson Street and Wellington Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Amwell Lane, Stanstead Abbotts/St Margarets from its junction with B181 Station Road north westwards to its junction with Lower Road, a distance of approximately 1280m.

An alternative route will be via B181 Station Road, A1170 (Pepper Hill/ Amwell Hill) and Lower Road.

2. that length of Railway Street, Hertford from its junction with South Street south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Market Street, a distance of approximately 154m.

An alternative route will be via South Street, Fore Street and Market Street.

3. that length of Walkern Road, Benington from its junction with Benington Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Church Green, a distance of approximately 2173m.

An alternative route will be via Walkern Road and Church Green.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rosedale Way, Cheshunt from a point 85m north east of its junction with Jacksons Drive north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Rosedale Way, Peakes Way, Peakes Lane, Dig Dag Hill, Longfield Lane and Rosedale Way.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

3. that length of The Crescent/Peascroft, Cottered from its junction with A507 Baldock Road south westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

1. that length of Granby Park Road, Cheshunt from its junction with Rosedale Way north westwards, south westwards, southwards and south westwards for its entire length.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Lower Road, Great Amwell from a point 190m north west of its junction with Amwell Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Cheshunt Public Footpath No.067 from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.110 Andrews Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 31m (“the Public Footpath”).

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this public footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 July 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce new waiting restrictions in part of Cheshunt as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 16 September 2024. ROAD HUMPS AND PEDESTRIAN CROSSING NOTICE (VARIOUS ROADS, BISHOP’S STORTFORD) 2024 

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions, prohibition of driving, a new 20 mph zone and prohibition of turns on roads in Bishop’s Stortford as specified in Schedules 1 to 4 to this Notice.

It is also proposed under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to construct speed tables and a Zebra pedestrian crossing facility on those lengths of roads in Bishop’s Stortford as specified in Schedules 5 and 6 to this Notice.

SCHEDULE 6: Speed tables – to be installed on those sections of road listed below and as set out in the scheme plans – parts of Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont Avenue South, Hudson Avenue, Parish Way, Davison Drive and Unnamed Road A.

Beaumont Avenue – from a point 42 metres south west of a point in line with the projected south west kerbline of Horsley Court south westwards for 20 metres.

Beaumont Avenue/Beaumont Avenue South – from a point 12 metres north east of a point in line with the projected north east kerbline of Hudson Avenue south westwards for approximately 26 metres to a point 8 metres south west of a point in line with the projected south west kerbline of Hudson Avenue and south eastwards into Hudson Avenue for 7 metres.

Beaumont Avenue South

(a) from a point 42 metres south west of a point in line with the projected south west kerbline of Hudson Avenue south westwards for 9 metres.

(b) from a point 26 metres north east of a point in line with the projected north east kerbline of Unnamed Road B north eastwards for 9 metres.

(c) from a point 17 metres south west of a point in line with the projected south west kerbline of Unnamed Road B south westwards for approximately 20 metres to a point 112 metres north east of a point in line with the projected north east kerbline of School Access Only Road and south eastwards into Parish Way for 8 metres.

(d) from a point 48 metres north east of a point in line with the projected north east kerbline of School Access Only Road north eastwards for 8 metres.

(e) from a point 32 metres south west of a point in line with the projected south west kerbline of School Access Only Road south westwards for approximately 30 metres to a point 126 metres north east of a point in line with the projected north east kerbline of Mountbatten Way and eastwards into Davison Drive for 8 metres.

(f) from a point 100 metres south west of a point in line with the projected south west kerbline of School Access Only Road south westwards for approximately 20 metres to a point 67 metres north east of a point in line with the projected north east kerbline of Mountbatten Way and south eastwards into Unnamed Road A for 6 metres.

(g) from a point 8 metres north east of a point in line with the projected north east kerbline of Mountbatten Way north eastwards for 9 metres.

The speed tables will be constructed at a height of approximately 75mm above the existing carriageway with on/off gradients of approximately 1:20.
