Arnot Hill Road And Hallams Lane - Prohibition Of Driving For Carriageway Patching Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ARNOT HILL ROAD AND HALLAMS LANE, ARNOLD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (G24-097)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Arnold in the Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road as listed in paragraph 3.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (Both Sides) (20:00 Hours until 05:00 Hours) in the following length of road as listed in paragraph 3.
3. The lengths of road referred to in paragraph 1 and 2 are the following:
a. Arnot Hill Road, Arnold - From its Junction with Nottingham Road, to its junction with Sandfield Road
b. Hallams Lane, Arnold - From its Junction with Arnot Hill road to its junction with Market Place.
4. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
5. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 20:00 Hours, Monday 8th July 2024 Until 05:00 Hours, Friday 12th July 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Arnot Hill Road - Nottingham Road - Coppice Road - Rolleston Drive - Sandfield Road - Arnot Hill Road and Vice Versa
b. Nottingham Road - Coppice Road - Rolleston Drive - Gedling Road - Hallams Lane and Vice Versa
The Order will come into force on 08th July 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway patching works;
