What is happening?

B3135 The Cliffs, Cheddar in the Parish of Cheddar
(Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2024 Filming

Notice is hereby given that Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary traffic restrictions as detailed in the Schedule below. The Order will be made to facilitate Filming and is in the interest of public safety.

All closures will be signed and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary. This Order will come into operation on the 18th day of July 2024 and will remain in for eighteen months.

The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs. Exemptions are provided in the Order for emergency vehicles and any vehicles associated with the event.

Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles, Cyclists and Pedestrians between the hours of 0001 on Monday 22nd July 2024 until 2359 on Friday 26th July 2024

B3135 The Cliffs, Cheddar – From a point 560 metres northeast from its junction with Cufic Lane in an easterly direction for a distance of 1350 metres.

Statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
