Berry Brow & Graver Lane, Miles Platting & Newton Heath Ward - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic & Temporary One-Way Traffic to facilitate Gas Mains Replacement
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC139431052: The City of Manchester (Berry Brow & Graver Lane, Miles Platting & Newton Heath Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & Temporary One-Way Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Berry Brow from it’s junction with Millstream Lane to it’s junction with Assheaton Road Graver Lane from it’s junction with Droyslden Road to it’s junction with Berry Brow. The alternative routes for traffic will be: North Road, Ashton New Road, Alan Turing Way, Briscoe Lane, Bradford Road, Hulme Hall Lane, Queens Road, Oldham Road, The Gateway, Thorp Road, Droylsden Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Gas Mains Replacement. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 19th July 2024 to 17th August 2024. The order shall come into operation on 19th July 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
