Delves Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

DELVES LANE, SOUTHFIELD, PENDLE BOROUGH
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Delves Lane, Southfield from its junction with Southfield Lane to its junction with Back Lane.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily from 0800 hours until 1800 hours on Saturday 13th July 2024 until Saturday 10th August 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained. The prohibitions will only be operative when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
Southfield Lane – Back Lane and vice versa
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow surface dressing works to be carried out.
