Millennium Way - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(MILLENNIUM WAY, CHORLEY, CHORLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Millennium Way, Chorley from its merging with the Botany Bay roundabout to its junction with Moss Lane.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative overnight from 1900 hours on Saturday 13th July 2024 until 0600 hours on Sunday 14th July 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
Bolton Road - Houghton lane - Blackburn Old Road - Blackburn Road - Cann Bridge Street - Higher Walton Road - Victoria Road - London Way - A6 Lostock Lane, Church Road - Preston Road – Vice Versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow resurfacing works to be carried out by F1 Construction Ltd.
