A197 ROTARY PARKWAY NORTHERN RELIEF ROAD
LINTONVILLE TERRACE ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Ashington in the County of Northumberland.
A197 Rotary Parkway from its junction with the A197 Asda Roundabout heading west for a distance of 115 metres.
A197 Northern Relief Road from its junction with the A197 Asda Roundabout heading east for a distance of 110 metres.
A196 Lintonville Terrace from its junction with the A197 Asda Roundabout heading north for a distance of 65 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 22nd July 2024 until the 22nd December 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 22nd July 2024 until the 27th July 2024 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 22nd December 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A197 Northern Relief Road, Woodhorn Road, North Seaton Road, Green Lane Kenilworth Road Station Road and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carryout carriageway resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
