(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in the County of Northumberland.
A1068 Seaton Burn Roundabout to Fisher Lane, Seaton Burn for its entire length of 136 metres.
A1068 Fisher Lane to Seaton Burn Roundabout, Seaton Burn for its entire length of 155 metres.
A1068 Fisher Lane northbound for its entire length of 4,440 metres.
A1068 Fisher Lane southbound for its entire length of 5020 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 8th July 2024 until the 1st January 2025.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 8th July 2024 until the 10th July 2024 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 1st January 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A19, A189, A192 and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and other associated works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
