NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ASHLEY STREET, CAVOUR STREET, GROSVENOR STREET, HOLME ROAD AND RECTORY ROAD, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 03 July 2024 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the "Lancashire County Council (Rectory Road, Grosvenor Street, Holme Road, Cavour Street and Ashley Street, Burnley, Burnley Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2011" in full.
2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Ashley Street, Burnley, both sides, from its junction with the centreline of Princess Way to its junction with the centreline of Rectory Road;
b) Ashley Street, Burnley, the north west side, from its junction with the centreline of Cavour Street for a distance of 16.5 metres in a south-westerly direction;
c) Ashley Street, Burnley, the south east side, from a point 7.5 metres north-east of its junction with the centreline of Cavour Street for a distance of 25.5 metres in a south-westerly direction;
d) Cavour Street, Burnley, both sides, from its junction with the centreline of Ashley Street for a distance of 12 metres in a south-easterly direction;
e) Cavour Street, Burnley, the north east side, from a point 47 metres north-west of its junction with the centreline of Ashley Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north-westerly direction;
f) Cavour Street, Burnley, the north east side, from its junction with the centreline of Ashley Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north-westerly direction;
g) Cavour Street, Burnley, the north east side, from its junction with the centreline of Holme Road for a distance of 12.5 metres in a north-westerly direction;
h) Cavour Street, Burnley, the south west side, from its junction with the centreline of Ashley Street for a distance of 57 metres in a north-westerly direction;
i) Cavour Street, Burnley, the south west side, from its junction with the centreline of Holme Road for a distance of 18 metres in a north-westerly direction;
j) Grosvenor Street, Burnley, both sides, from its junction with the centreline of Rectory Road to its junction with the centreline of Edison Way;
k) Holme Road, Burnley, both sides, from its roundabout junction with Princess Way for a distance of 32 metres in a south westerly direction;
l) Holme Road, Burnley, both sides, from its junction with the centreline of Rectory Road to a point 23 metres west of its junction with the centreline of Whittle Way;
m) Holme Road, Burnley, the south west side, from a point 27.5 metres west of its junction with the centreline of Whittle Way for a distance of 30 metres in a north-westerly direction;
n) Rectory Road, Burnley, the north east side, from its junction with the centreline of Princess Way to a point 54 metres north-west of its junction with the centreline of Holme Road;
o) Rectory Road, Burnley, the north east side, from a point 13 metres north-west of its junction with the centreline of Ashley Street for a distance of 31 metres in a south-easterly direction;
p) Rectory Road, Burnley, the south west side, from its junction with the centreline of Princess Way to its junction with the centreline of Rear 1 To 9 Holme Road.

This Order will come into force on the 08 July 2024. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Burnley Borough Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 9SA, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx, quoting ref: LSG4/894. 18736/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
