What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (U2315 Jamaica Way, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Jamaica Way – from the junction with U2292 Atlantic Drive to the junction with U2315 Windward Quay.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2315 Jamaica Way – U2363 Madeira Way – U2292 Atlantic Drive and vice versa.

The Order commences 8 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 8 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U2223 Milfoil Drive, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Milfoil Drive – from the junction with U2223 Oulton Close to the junction with U2345 Alverstone Close.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2223 Milfoil Drive – U2276 Larkspur Drive – B2104 Friday Street – B2191 Willingdon Drove – U2223 Milfoil Drive and vice versa.

The Order commences 10 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 10 and 11 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (B2106 Terminus Road, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Terminus Road – from the junction with U2145 Burlington Road to the junction with A259 Seaside Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2135 Trinity Trees – A259 Memorial roundabout – B2106 Devonshire Place, Grand Parade.

The Order commences 23 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23 and 26 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7732 Broad Road, Lower Willingdon)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Foxdown Construction Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Broad Road – from the junction with A2270 Eastbourne Road to the junction with U7934 Oldfield Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7732 Broad Road – C341 Wannock Lane – C40 Wannock Road – A2270 Eastbourne Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 July and 28 August 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U2095 New Upperton Road, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

New Upperton Road – from the junction with U2095 Watts Lane to the junction with U2100 Moat Croft Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2100 Moat Croft Road – A2270 Upperton Road – U2095 Ocklynge Road, Crown Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 19 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 22 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
