What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 The East Sussex (U6598 Havelock Road, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2 To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Havelock Road – at the junction with A269 London Road for a distance of approximately 30 metres.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A269 London Road – U6598 St Georges Road, Springfield Road, Havelock Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 8 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 8 and 10 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3224 Ashburnham Road,

Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2 To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Ashburnham Road – from the junction with U3222 Dudley Road to the junction with U3223 Godwin Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3224 Ashburnham Road – A259 Old London Road – U3227 Mount Road – U3224 Ashburnham Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 5 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 5 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3118 Hollington Park Road,

St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under

Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Hollington Park Road – from the junction with P3516 Fairmount to the junction with C263 Gillsmans Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C263 Gillsmans Hill – B2092 Harley Shute Road – A259 Bexhill Road – C238 Filsham Road – C664 The Green – U3118 Hollington Park Road.

The Order commences 8 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 8 and 11 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3205 Croft Road, Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2 To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Croft Road – from the junction with U3235 Swan Terrace to Torfield School.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic southbound via U3205 Swan Terrace – U3208 High Street – A259 Old London Road – C551 Priory Road – U3186 Priory Road – U3205 Croft Road and northbound via U3205 Croft Road – U3186 Priory Road – C551 Priory Road – A259 Old London Road, The Bourne, East Beach Street – U3208 High Street – U3205 Swan Terrace.

The Order commences 8 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 8 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2165 Beckley Road, Northiam)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Beckley Road – from the junction with A28 Well House Hill to the junction with U6949 Pixies Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A28 Well House Hill – Perryman Cross – Hastings Road – B2088 Rye Road – B2165 Clayhill – The Stream – Beckley Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 22 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C293 Whatlington Road, Battle)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Whatlington Road – from the junction with C625 Virgins Lane to Green Gore.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C293 Whatlington Road, Caldbec Hill, Mount Street – A2100 High Street, Upper Lake – C94 Marley Lane – A21(T) Hastings Road, Woodmans Green Road – C293 Whatlington Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 25 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 25 and 31 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6576 Ellerslie Lane, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Ellerslie Lane – from the junction with C346 Turkey Road to the junction with U6579 Fryatts Way.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6576 Ellerslie Lane – U6580 Blackfields Avenue, Courthope Drive – U6585 Knebworth Road – A259(T) Little Common Road – U6586 West Down Road – U6589 Gunters Lane – C346 Turkey Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 22 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 22 and 26 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
