TEMPORARY RESTRICTION ORDER 2024
THE MOUTH OF THE TYNE FESTIVAL, TYNEMOUTH
The Council of the Borough of North Tyneside gives notice that it intends to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Order is to facilitate the Mouth of the Tyne Festival.
The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit between 06:00 hours on 12 July 2024 and 17:00 hours on 15 July 2024 all vehicles including pedal cycles from using:
1. The cycle lane on Percy Gardens/Sea Banks/East Street from the junction of Middle Street/East Street to the junction of Grand Parade/Percy Gardens.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
1. vehicles including pedal cycles travelling in a southerly direction from the junction of Grand Parade/Percy Gardens to the junction of Middle Street/East Street;
2. any vehicles being used for ambulance, fire and rescue authority, police and coast guard purposes in an emergency;
3. anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a traffic enforcement officer; and
4. vehicles when used in the service of a local authority in pursuance of statutory powers or duties.
