Broad Street - Suspension Of Bus Lane Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2024

What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Salford intends, in no less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Order: Salford City Council (A6 Broad Street, Salford) (Suspension of Bus Lane) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024 under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to suspend the following bus lane: Broad Street - outside the Mary Seacole Building, Salford University. The bus lane closure is required in order for Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works. 

The Order is due to come into operation on 22 July 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by 30 July 2024.

A copy of the proposed Order and plan of the area may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm to Fri inclusive.
