What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC138903813: The City of Manchester (New Bridge Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on New Bridge Street Slip Road for its full length (Outside Dominos).

The alternative routes for traffic will be: Mirabel Street, Great Ducie Street, New Bridge Street, Trinity Way.

The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate sewer maintenance. It is expected that the works will be in progress on 7 July 2024 only.

The order shall come into operation on 7 July 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
