Prow - Wh No.063, Whickham - Temporary Prohibition Order For Public Safety Following A Landside Making The Footpath Unstable
What is happening?

(PROW - WH NO.063, WHICKHAM) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that following an emergency notice issued under s.14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the 14 June 2024, the Borough Council of Gateshead has on the 03 July 2024 made an Order under section 14(1) of the Act the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from the Public Right of Way No. 063 Whickham for its entire length. The Order is required for public safety following a landside making the footpath unstable. The Order will come into force on the 05 July 2024. The maximum duration of the Order will be 6 months. All pedestrians (expect pedestrians associated with remedial works and emergency service operatives on duty) will be prohibited from the public right of way until the footpath is made safe or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs.
