Moorland Street - Temporary Road Closure For Gas Mains Upgrade Works

Temporary Closure of Moorland Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Moorland Street - from the junction with Old Church Road to the junction with Bailiffs Close. A total distance of 252 metres.
This Order will enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas mains upgrade works.
The Order becomes effective on 18th July 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 25th July 2024 and last until 23rd August 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 30 days.
