What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(STONDON: PART OF FOOTPATH NO 4)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of part of public Footpath No 4, Stondon which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1519 3524 in a north easterly direction for approximately 1000 metres to OS GR TL 1597 3582.
This temporary closure is required to allow Anglian Water to lay a new water main to increase supplies to the surrounding areas of Stondon and Henlow. The closure is expected to take place from 8 July to 5 August 2024 or until the works are completed. The alternative route for footpath users whilst this closure is in force will be the footways along Hillside Road and Station Road.

The Order will come into operation on 8 July 2024 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpath have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(BIGGLESWADE: PART OF FOOTPATH NO 24)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Order made by Central Bedfordshire Council on the 3 January 2023 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of part of public Footpath No 24, Biggleswade which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2148 4415 to OS GR TL 2170 4414 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 6 July 2025.
This temporary closure is required to enable construction works to take place. The closure is expected to continue from 7 July 2024 for up to twelve months.
The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation will be:
From OS GR TL 2170 4414 head in a southerly direction to OS GR TL 2174 4397, then head westerly to OS GR TL 2150 4395, then head in a northerly direction back to OS GR TL 2148 4415.

The Order will continue in force until 6 July 2025 or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within twelve months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(STATION ROAD, POTTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Road, Potton between Willow Road and Biggleswade Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable HV ducts and cable mains installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 22 July to 2 August 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via B1040, A6001, A1, Bedford Road, B1042, Station Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 22 July 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(HOLME COURT AVENUE, LONDON ROAD AND DUNTON LANE, BIGGLESWADE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the following lengths of road:
i. Holme Court Avenue, Biggleswade approximately 20 metres from London Road roundabout
ii. London Road, Biggleswade between Holme Court Avenue and Dunton lane
iii. Dunton Lane, Biggleswade at its junction with London Road
This temporary closure is required to enable gas main replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place as follows:
On Holme Court Avenue from 22 July to 10 August 2024
On London Road a single lane closure from 22 July to 10 August 2024
On Dunton lane from 3 to 4 August 2024 from 8pm to 6am The roads will be closed at all times during these periods.
The alternative route for Holme Court Avenue is via Dells Lane, London Road.
London Road is a single lane closure only.
There is no alternative route for the closure on Dunton lane. The Order will come into operation on 22 July 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Shefford Road, Meppershall between Poppy Gardens and approximately 20 metres north of Stocking Drive.
This temporary closure is required to enable S278 works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 22 July to 9 August 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period but will be reopened on weekends.
The alternative route for this closure is via A507, A600, Station Road, Shillington Road, Marquis Hill, Upton End Road, Meppershall Road, Shillington Road, Rectory Road, High Street and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on 22 July 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(HOUSE LANE, ARLESEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of House Lane, Arlesey outside number 82 and north for approximately 42 metres.
This temporary closure is required to enable electrical connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 19 July 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Stotfold Road, Church Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 8 July 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
